I have continued to struggle with my health
this year. I had a large spur on my left shoulder and had to have surgery to
remove it. I could not move my arm behind my back. Following the surgery my
diabetes became worse and I had to begin using insulin. It took me a while
to get it under control. I was exhausted during this time and had a hard
time completing what I needed to get done. I want to apologize to the
readers of the Info+ for not being consistent with the mailing and emailing
of this newsletter. I am starting with the current issues and I will be
working backward to get the previous issues done. I have added one year to
the subscribers that send in payments for it since the publishing did not
occur regularly. Continue to keep me in your prayers as I continue this
effort.

COGWMF Minutes of Meeting of Sept-Oct 2011 Venue: Umuahia
11/10/11
This meeting commenced at about 10 am and
was attended by all the elders and pastors and discussion on the camp
meeting was finally settled.
There were not much as the meeting
was mainly for camp meeting
Though the issue of pastor Udobong
in regard to Ikot Inyang Eti's place was of worship came up through
elder Friday who asked why this congregation is yet to be roofed, he
added even though the building was too large. So he advised the pastor
to lease with Pastor Christian in other to make the estimate that will
enable for the roofing. Brother Friday noted that the amount that he
earlier quoted was too much, that he should look at how they at
Abam/Abala started.
Information was given to all by the General
Secretary for all congregations to respond positively by bringing all
the things that were distributed.
All thanked the brethren from
WMF USA for the camp meeting support of $600 but put request for
additional support of that equivalent i.e., $600 to help us for
publication of the materials because printing is costing much this time.
Pastors requested for a step up in the stipend as to enable
them meet up with the high transport fares.
Pastor Christian
demanded that pastors and elders should try to bring more people to the
camp, not after now some will come with three or five people all in the
name of there is no transport fare, that since the year, a congregation
should save some money preparing for the camp meeting which is once a
year.
The meeting ended at about 2pm as to make enough time for
our brothers from Calabar and Akwa Ibom to travel home on time because
of bad road and high fares.

Philippines November Letter
November 12, 2011 Dearest Info + Editor & Saints,
Greetings in
our Lord’s marvelous Name! We have just resumed in our country’s second
semester schedule of classes after about two weeks’ vacation in which
many Filipinos went home to their home provinces to visit their dead
loved ones on the cemeteries. For God’s kingdom, it’s also good season
for our local congregations to schedule their revival services and the
others have it these remaining weeks of the month.
Because
we’re late to start the Seminary (Pastoral Training) in San Leon,
Pangasinan, we used the Semestral Break with the insert teachings of
subjects by the visiting trainers such as Bro. Jerwin Ladio, Sis. Jo
Albarico and Bro. Welbert Curilan. Because they’re working in Manila,
they took the opportunity using their vacation to minister by helping to
teach in the seminary. Sis. Minerva Ladio, the semipermanent & stay in
instructor and me do the alternate teaching in the absence of the
visiting mentors.
We thank God for the answer of prayers in
sending more than what we asked for number of trainees (11) to signal
God’s will for us to open the formal pastoral training. At present, we
do have fifteen (15) enrollees from the 10 in the pictures taken on the
opening service we sent you last October letter report. We have 10 males
and 5 females who majority entered the seminary by faith. Praying God
will provide their sponsors to meet their Seminary’s financial
obligation & needs amounting to about $37 per student monthly. God
willing we’ll send another set of picture on our next report with the
complete pose of the Seminarians with the trainers. We’re also nearing
again our Youth Conventions scheduled this December vacation. We covet
your prayers that God will further promote his works here in the
Philippines thru the gatherings we have, Seminary trainings and with the
supplication of needed provisions.
