Nehemiah 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

Thanks to all who have contributed to the land purchase plea that I made last month. We received almost $3,000.00; we now have $5975.00 toward the $10,000.00 needed. Please pray about helping with this project so the visiting team can take the money with them when they go in early January.

Bro. Gayheart, Bro. Marquiss & son, Henry and Bro. Cash are in the process of getting tickets and visas for the trip. Pray than God will grant them a safe and prosperous visit.

Following is an urgent message from Sis. Noemi L. Esteban, daughter of Bro. D. B. Luzan:

Dear Pastor Rexroth and Info Readers,

Greetings in God’s Name,

Shunning timidity, I wrote to inform you brothers and sisters my father’s physical bad shape. The doctors conferred his desperate need of pacemaker and other complications, special operation which is so expensive in Mindanao. So, we brought him out of Davao Doctors and decided to transfer him here in manila’s Phil. Health Center, having canvassed it cheaper three times. If God willing he’ll be operated this week availing from the hospitals’ charity total cost of $2,377.00.

Appealing to your hearts, if ever you’ll be touched to bear in paying Bro. Luzan’s operation bills please send your help through Pastor Stanley Rexroth (Note: if you choose to send direct, please let me know the amount so I can inform others of the remaining need)

In Prayer,
Sis. Noemi L. Esteban
Secretary, The Bible Holiness Church of God of the Philippines.

NIGERIA

REPORTS FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER:

Ehere, Aba, Pastor James Igbokwe: The church against hope lived in hope. Whence our redeemer liveth we received your ministers support, the church lacked support to compete with the town or living churches standard. There is need for us the church to get a land to build permanent structure not rent. You have supported others. We beg you equip the church, like megaphone loudspeakers, handbills tract etc. for revivals, seminars. The pastor preached from pillar to post without megaphone there is church everywhere. Everyday the church we organize street evangelism. I know Roman was not built in a day.

Attendance: Wednesday Bible Study: 4. Friend 4, Evangelistic meeting 1-2

Abam/Abala, Pastor Christian Ogbuka: The Lord has continued His good work in our midst. A remarkable and memorable evangelistic activity was our seven days all night prayer packed. Members from other churches attended. God used many to minister to us in spiritual songs and praises. Our choristers performed creditably well. Three new children were won to the Lord. Another family of five was won to the Lord. And on the 13th they brought their newborn baby boy for presentation to the Lord. Praise God for that. NEED: Our major need is to help us put up our building. Because often times when the wind is blowing it carries much breeze and a wind blowing rain will be troubling us while in fellowship.

Attendance was from 68 to 89.

Eket Urban, Pastor E. David: Attendance was from 10 to 41, 4 were saved this month. We had a three-day prayer conference tagged “Moving The Giant Off Your Pathway”. There was overflowing of Holy Spirit and great healing. Please note that Evangelical Activities need money, without which many souls cannot be won. The modern people now don’t need mud houses for church. They will feel it’s a poverty stricken church. Church planting has its pattern as we study in Bible colleges. I have now completed my B. A. degree in Theology and I now want to but practice all what I have learnt.

Umuahia, Pastor Cyriacus Nwachukwu: Evangelistic work has been going on at Umuahia with huge success. God has been doing it fine, we thank Him for that. Thank God for the forth-coming seminar which WMF has scheduled in Umuahia by next year January. That of March this year brought forth much result, so I believe next year’s seminar will bring greater.

Calabar, Pastor Bassey Ekpe: Attendance was from 25 to 31, 15 souls were saved this month, Praise God! Evangelistic Movement was very encouraging with the rain subsiding. We also had one-day seminar on Effective Witnessing among members; there was a great turnout of people. There was a tarry night on the 25th and there was a great miracle, people were delivered of diverse problems of Demonic attack, we also has testimony delivering of a widow sister from cancer of the left leg. Thank God!

Calabar Congregation project is of a great concern to us here as we still continue to worship in a leaking roof of this school classroom. Please consider our project of buying land and building place for worship. Reconsider your decision because the God we worship is not an author of confusion, He cannot in the mist of a few unfaithful brothers withdraw His blessing from mankind, this exactly what you are doing pray for forgiveness because God have bless the nation of America think about this.

Akpa-Mba-ato, Pastor Ronald Iheanacho: In the month of October I was engaged in house-to-house evangelism around the new located area and my next plan is to organize a crusade for more recognition. This is the reason why I have been emphasizing on evangelical equipments. We will extend the Gospel to rural and urban areas of the country and plant churches. Sir, I am assuming you that all your labors in Nigeria this time shall not be in vain. We are still praying for you all.

NB: Sir, after seeing your proposals on my strippers from N5000 to N3000, I decided to say this, even 5,000 was not enough for me how much less N3,000 I have been telling you about my house-to-house evangelism of winning souls for Christ, but evangelism and church establishment needs money to support it since God has chosen you people to render help, please do not be weary in well doing, for in due season you shall reap, if you faint not, please let there be encouragements and not to discourage my labors, for somebody to day Jesus Saves, he must be an example, eat very fine and dress fine, please Sir consider this write up, even I still need helps for my education (2 Timothy 2:15)

Uyo, Pastor Johnnie Austin: 14th-17th & 21st used for evangelism to encourage those I have already won for the Lord to keep their hearts steady for eventual takeoff of the church in Uyo.

Like the biblical servant who received five talents from his Lord and traded and gained five more talents (Matt 25:14-21), I have used your WMF monthly stipend to Nigeria wisely since last year 2001 and raised 5 new congregations for WMFCOG Nigeria. Now, there is a spiritual urge for me to raise another congregation in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State. I have finished the underground work (Evangelism) I have gotten men on ground ready for the takeoff of the church but I have no money to pay for a hall. I am therefore soliciting for the cooperation of all spiritual loving brethren of the WMF for assistance/support of one thousand three hundred dollars only, to enable us pay for a hall and commence our worship in the city. Your support will mean you winning perishing souls and preparing your righteousness such that will remain forever. (2 Cor 9:8-9)

Ikot Edibon, Pastor Okon Jim Ibok: Attendance was from 10 to 14. We had one-day fasting and three days revival in addition to house-to-house evangelism visit.

Ikot Inyang Eti, Pastor Udobong Okon Essien: Attendance was from 47 to 58, 12 souls were saved this month. We had four days revival from 24th – 27th with weekly street evangelism.

Closing the service, the attendees enjoyed food feast out of roasted pig, beef, desserts, etc. and the youth league winners awarded.

We thank the Lord also that in this month we’re able to begin another church building project in Mangilala, South Cotabato in a young growing congregation handled by single male workers, Bro. Joy Pescones & Bro. Ronnie Losaria. The project was realized through the funding of the Church of God in Newark, Ohio with Bro. Tom Wilson pastoring. Enclosed herein were taken pictures of the started project and the copy of the Brief History of the Bible Holiness Church of God in the Philippines Inc. for your file.

In closing, I request dear saints, please include in your prayers our scheduled nationwide Church Revivals this semestral break as well as the physical heath of Bro. D. B. Luzan. He spends most of the night these weeks hard up breathing and suffering from severe body pains. Thanks a million times again for sending us the mission support and prayers.

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Greetings in our savior’s precious name who loved us and gave himself for us. It is real joy to serve Him.

This missionary report is sent to you to let you know what is so far done in this year. Since 2 years we are having Gospel meetings every month. Friday-Saturday-Sunday in different towns and villages in this big district. At the same time we distribute Gospel tracts freely in the streets as we walk singing Gospel songs. We see people hungry for the Word of God.

In the month of May we had 5 days camp meetings. About 700 attended, some of them accepted the Lord as their personal savior and obeyed in baptism. Thus so far the Lord enabled us to spread the Gospel. We are publishing a monthly by name “Peace Message” and sending out to many parts of India. This paper is printed in local language, Telugu.

A camp meeting costs nearly a thousand dollars for accommodation and to provide simple food to the attendees. We have devoted young persons to help us in our ministry. We are unable to arrange camp meetings or revivals often for lack of funds.

We covet your prayerful cooperation and support for which we shall be thankful. 1 Cor 15:58, Rom 10:15

Hoping to Hear From You,
In Christ’s Love,
K. H. Paul

YOUTH CORNER

It is that time again to find out what is happening in the youth corner. It is that time of year again, when our thoughts turn to being thankful. As we ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, some of us take time to count our blessings. This is a great thing to do, in fact in every Sunday School or Youth group you are probably going to be asked what you are thankful for. Many of you will say some of the same things that you say every year, family, friends, God etc. My challenge to you this year is to thank God for some of the things you have never thanked Him for. Maybe you can thank the Lord that you have to do the dishes every other Thursday. You may think this is crazy, but just be thankful that you have dishes to be dirty because some people do not own a dish or have food to put in a dish. Or how about being thankful that you have to clean your room. Just be thankful you have a room, and if it is your own, that you don’t have to share it with someone. Take time to think about some things that you have never thanked God for, in doing this you can develop an attitude of gratitude. An attitude of being thankful for everything and knowing that God is the giver of everything and the only one worthy to be praised.

Power Verse: Colossians 2:7 “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”

REVIVAL REPORT

Sis. Sarah Ingram was the evangelist for revival Nov 3-6 at The Church of God of Cumberland Valley, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The meeting was well attended and the messages were stirring.

Sunday morning’s message was “Prepare The Way” from Isaiah 62:1-12. She told us that for God to shine through you, keep not silence, give the Lord no rest until He makes His people (the church) a praise in the earth. You need to go through the gate, Jesus Christ, into the Kingdom of God. The best way to prepare the way for others is to live the life.

Sunday evening’s message was “Change Is Inevitable” from Romans 12:2, 2 Cor 3:18 & Acts 9:1-9, 17-22. She reminded us that you cannot be conformed to the world and be transformed at the same time. Who can you change? You cannot give your responsibility away. What gift has God given you? We have a big job changing ourselves.

Monday’s message was “God’s Promises Are For Us” from Heb 4:1 & 11:6 & Romans 8:21-39. She told us that it is not easy to have faith in our time for our world is filled with unbelief. Your part in receiving your need is to ask what you need. The how it happens is God’s part. Believe that He is and that He rewards those that diligently seek Him. God can do anything, His power is not limited.

Tuesday’s message was “Build The House of God” from Haggai 1:2-15, 2:2-4 & 7-9. She asked us; do you know what the church is supposed to look like? “A lot of people claim to be Christian and keep their sins with no shame.” We have measured ourselves by past generations instead of according to Jesus Christ. Many try to define truth by their own experience. God builds the church.

Wednesday’s message was “The Local Church” from Acts 2:37-47. She reminded us that the local church sets the course of the community and the nation. It’s time for the church to be the church. Salvation changes you and as you walk after the Holy Spirit you will continue to change. The Gospel is intended to change lives. The Word of God alone is not enough, you need the Holy Spirit as well. You are responsible for your soul’s growth.
