Dear Info+,

Christian love and greetings from the Holiness Church Of God Inc., Philippine Mission in our Redeemers Name. Trust this report informing you what is going on it our area of responsibility reaches you all well and happy in the service of the King. For us it's a busy time of revivals in several congregations. According to the reports there are souls being lifted up and Saints being, edified, Praise the Lord.

Thank you dear Saints for yow continuous support and prayers for us in the Philippine mission. We are earnestly praying that our six (6) American visiting Missionaries who will be coming to attend our two district campmeetings here in Mindanao district and Luzon district will be able to witness that God is still moving and prospering his work in this field of labor that you are supporting.

In the other hand, I want also to share that the Lord is still good and loving to me, because the previous week I was Hospitalized for a week three days in the CCU and two days in the private room. I thought I'm going already to rest in our eternal

home, but praise the Lord He spared yet my life for a purpose, no other but to continue in our father's business. Presently I'm recovering so fast, and took this privileges to share you the activities in the mission field.

Praise the Lord, Gods Bible School is going on with three instructors only because the student are few in number due to lack of financial needs. The Instructor are the following. Bro. John Nisperos, Bro. William Ildefonso and Sis. Ruth Fajardo.

In the next place the Jeepney project is already in Davao City in the Auto Shop of Bro. Samuel Luzan. The Mechanic and body builder are repairing the parts that needs to be repaired. After repairing the painting and work for the Franchise in Davao City,

Enclosed are the pictures of the front view of Katidtuan Chapel, and brother John Nisperos.

We want to express through this letter our much gratitude to all our loving supporters who are sending their support through the WMF of the Church Of God, that help us to settle or complete the monthly support of the ministry and the church School.

Also we want to give thanks to those churches who are sending their support direct to us in the Mission field like Gods Acres and Coulter's Chapel in Niles, Michigan and some individual brethren. May God richly bless you all is our prayers.

Yours for His Cause
Bro. and Sis. D. B. Luzan Jr.

CHURCH OF GOD SPANISH MISSION, INC

December 5, 1997

Dear Saints,

Here we are at the end of another year. And truly I feel rather bad that we have not written a newsletter in months. But, it seems like there are not enough hours in a day to get all the things done that we would like to do. Not, only do we have a family, grandchildren, home, congregation, and a steady stream of visitors, we also have a small paper put out once a month that has been very effective in many areas. Then I truly enjoy preparing Sunday School material for my Adult class. It gives me a time to study and research the wonderful things of God.

I really don't remember when the last letter was that I sent along to you. But I'11 go as far back as August and bring you up to date on the missionary visits we have made and the visitors we have had here.

We were scheduled to California, then on to Mexico the first of August. But because of Bro. Figueroa's health, we had to postpone until the very end of August and the early part of September. We traveled to California by plane and were with the Saints in Chino, Calif. for several days having services. There is a small Spanish work that has begun there and Bro. Harley is doing a fine work. He gets rather impatient at times, since he wants the work to grow fast. But as longtime laborers in the Kingdom of

God we know that there is always a time of sowing. Then we went down into Mexico to Ensenado, Baja California where Bro. Alex Reyes is Pastor. We had some wonderful services there and God truly encouraged our hearts as we saw what God is doing through this young Pastor.

Then while we were gone a Sister came from Cuba. Our daughter, Marisa, took care of her immediate needs, which by now you all know that is to dress her completely. So when we returned, she spent about a week and half with us.

As soon as she left, we had two more brethren come from Cuba and they stayed for over a month. Each of the visitors took home over 150 lbs. this trip. Once again we are grateful to each of you

that during the year of 1997 have made it possible that we can continue to support the brethren in Cuba. Over 20 Pastors in Cuba are receiving $25.00 per month to help in their needs.

We only lack having 3 more Pastors come to visit. And Lord permitting they will be coming sometime in May or June.

Since the middle of the year we have had new contacts in Columbia and Ecuador. Brother Figueroa has been invited to visit both congregations there. Please pray that he will be physically able to travel there this coming year. Also, in January a Pastor from Ecuador is coming to spend two weeks with us to be able to understand and learn those things that God is revealing to him.

Then, the Brother that is raising go to up a work in Honduras, is doing quite well. Souls have been saved and added to the Kingdom of God. He also is planning to come for a visit during the year of 1998. He has a visa already and will be able to come whenever we send for him. Please pray for us as we do our best to fulfill all these plans. Only God knows the extent of the needs and also just how far we can go to help them all. We are also trying to send each of the works in Mexico (2), California, Honduras, Ecuador, Jamaica, El Salvador, Columbia and other works, a small offering each month. Sometimes it is not very much, but God always makes it great.

We truly need and appreciate all the help you can give us. Both in your prayers, letters of encouragement and offerings. We truly appreciate how each of you been there for us whenever the need has arisen.

Pray for both Alex and I. We're not so very old. But the continual stream of visitors, trips and the daily duties of the congregation here do wear us out at times. Thank you for your love and concern.

God Bless You All,
Bro. Alex and Sis. Carol Figueroa

NIGERIA IKOT EBAK

1st December, 1997.

Dear brethren,

Holy greetings to you all in the name of Jesus Christ Amen. I received a note on 7/11/1997 And Lord tagged "United we stand; Divided we fall", which is aimed at fostering the Unity of Churches of God Worldwide in realization of Jesus 'prayer' "that they all may be one".

First of all, I thank God very much for the effort and wisdom given unto you and I am praying that this move to resuscitate the Unity of the Churches of God should be successful. The benefits of United Body should not be over-look, more so, St. Paul in I Corinthians 3:3, talks about divisions, envying and strife, that as long as these are mentioned among us, it therefore mean that we are carnal, and walk as men. Brethren, the body of Christ is not divided, neither the Kingdom of heaven, so this broaden line of fellowship should be drawn to include brothers and sisters here in Ikot Ebak congregation and the Saints World over.

We are interested to meet with others whose Spirits are stirred along these lines. So please whatever move is taken toward the realization of essential Unity of Christ's body, get us informed. And whenever a meeting of such body is to be convened, don't fail to invite our Minister to represent our congregation.

Yours in One body of Christ
Pastor Joseph Akpanamah
(FOR THE CONGREGATION).

NIGERIA IKOT ESIA

NOTE: Sent to Pastor Glenn Dryden.

October 16,1997

Beloved Brother Glenn,

Loving greetings to you and all yours in Jesus most holy name.

I have received from Brother Rexroth an information sheet titled "United we stand, Divided we fall". The write up has thrilled and greatly blessed my soul. The title also speaks for itself, and I have no alternative but confirm it. with; Amen.

The task seems enormous and gigantic but with God on our side it must be done in this gospel day. I am confident that heaven and earth shall not pass away until every word and prayer of Christ for His Church come to fulfillment.

I am one in spirit with any minister or group of ministers who desire and work together to see the Church of God Unite. Through God, I promise to endorse every right move and contribute effectively to answers, methods and concern that will go together to produce beneficial results.

For Nigeria, there are thousands of Church of God congregations spread over the land. More than half of this on to his number are devoid of the Cardinal Truths of the Church of God They are Denominational in teaching and life but Church of God in name. It requires Holy Ghost preaching and teaching to stem the tide.

I made a first call to Christian Unity in 1987. The response was fair. In 1988, we met at Owerri in another state and the response was good even though I was not there because I had traveled away and could not return to attend the meeting. I started on doctrinal differences and it was effective. Lack of funds had greatly handicapped any further move since 1988.

By now we could have covered almost all the states or the federation and could have brought in funding of the exercise, administration, large-scale evangelism and training etc. & etc. into the scheme. Thank God now for the open-door it is the season for fruit bearing of all efforts of the past and present made towards this goal.

I shall look forward to receiving your progress report on the issue of practical or concrete unity of the Church of God, and shall comply accordingly to directives needed or given.

Above all, I would love to be invited to have face to face discussions with others on this crucial Issue. Nigeria has the largest concentration of people in Black Africa.

My presence at such a meeting would make the move more meaningful to my people here. My prayers for you all and God bless.

Your brother in the True Faith,
Bishop Asibong Okon

Editor's Note: The expression for concrete unity is felt by most Christians. It is time to move our hearts and souls in that direction by coming together, praying together, worshipping together, listening to one another and allowing the Holy Spirit to instruct us more perfectly.
