PHILIPPINES

April 25, 2000

Dear Bro. Rexroth & Mission Supporters,

Greetings to you all our dear supporters in the vineyard of the Lord in God’s Mighty and Holy Name. It’s a great privilege to share you our April report for you to know our previous two annual district camp meeting, first in Luzon district dated April 13-17, 2000 held in Manila Church of God and here at Bannawag Church of God dated April 20-24. Thank God, both camp meetings were blessed and victorious and well attended. The delegates even express in their testimonies that if possible the number of days of the meeting be doubled. There were 23 precious souls that receive the Ordinance of water baptism before the close of the meetings. Praise God.

Glad to inform that there were 11 graduates this year 2000 in our Pastor training school. 4 BBC, 6 Christian workers, and 1 ministerial. Please help us pray for this BBC that they’ll be able to come on June the opening of the school year and those Christian workers will be strong to fight the good fight of faith as they launch out in their field training and be able to come back on April and receive their diploma in Ministerial course. This are the following additional workers this year 2000, that needs our Monthly Support:

Bro. & Sis. W. Curilan, Bro. & Sis. Quirino Pescones, Bro. Ruel Amistad, Bro. Francisco Duco Jr., Bro. Alfredo Craco, Sis. Amy Pescones, Sis. Christina Morales, And Sis. Emilyn Dupo.

Saints this additional workers needs our prayers and support that they may go out strong enough to preach the truth to undying world before the close of time.

Before we close we are humbly appealing to all our loving supporters to please continue your support to our instructors in the pastors training school. How we covet your prayers as we labor for the Master and this Ministry will continue to spread to the uttermost parts of the Philippine Republic.

In God’s Labor,
Bro. & Sis. D. B. Luzan, Sr.

DEAR JUDY

This column is a burden to help Christian singles get together for encouragement and friendship. Names, addresses, ages and interests are available through your participation. Should you care to receive a list, please send your name and address along with the information about yourself to: Dear Judy, P. O. Box 2053, Ponca City, OK 74602-2053; E-mail: agape157@Juno.com (Note new Email address)

Dear Judy,

I was privileged to attend a meeting for single Christians in Oklahoma City. A Church there has shared their burden with other Christians. A couple in the Church has somewhat the burden you have been carrying, and is seeking Christian singles to meet one another. The information is very confidential, and no meetings take place unless one would want them to. They have get-togethers, which is great to be able to just be with other Christians. It has been very encouraging, thought you’d like to know, you are not alone in your burden.

Christian Single

Dear Single,

I am thrilled with what the Lord is doing in many places! My desire is to see each or our churches able, and willing, to following this example! I would like nothing more than to shift this burden to the local congregation. I believe this is where the work should be taking place, and in this day and age, very relevant!

Praying for you all,
Judy

REVIVAL REPORT

I was privileged to attend revival at Mt Pleasant Church of God, Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania April 25. Brother Larry Dishman was the evangelist. He bought a message on “Why Men Go Back” with text from Luke 9:57-62. He told us no one has to go back for God’s grace is sufficient. The cares of this life cause many to turn back. Becoming entangled with the affairs of this life cause many to go back. Failure to walk in light causes some to go back. We have to walk in the light that God gives us. It is a dangerous situation to fail to walk in the light. Some go back because they cannot stand persecution. Some go back because they cannot endure temptation. Some go back because they lack depth. FAITH CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP ENJOYS REVIVAL SERVICES

The week of April 30 was a memorable one as the people of Faith Christian Fellowship, Mason, Ohio, welcomed Rev. and Mrs. Stanley Rexroth for revival services. The theme of the revival was "Enjoy God”, and the people did just that as we feasted on uplifting messages from Bro. Rexroth, harmonious singing, and the wonderful love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bro. Rexroth’s first message, “What are you waiting for?” reminded us that we all have a job to do in spreading the Gospel to all those we see. Each message continued this theme, and spoke directly to Christians about our strength, the joy of the Lord.

Not only was the study of God’s Word powerful during our meetings, but we were all blessed with wonderful music by Sister Rexroth, as well as music of all types throughout the week:

Monday “Barbershop Quartet” style harmonies coupled with the message, “The Joy of Living”

Tuesday: The down-home Gospel style of the wonderful people from the Winton Road First Church of God and the message, “The Change that True Salvation Brings”.

Wednesday: Contemporary gospel music along with the message, “Go Home”.

Thursday: The worshipful sound of Faith Christian Fellowship’s Praise Team and the message “Add To Your Faith”.

The revival began Sunday, April 30, with “Friend Sunday”, with a record high attendance of 115. The Gospel Singing Travelaires presented their message in song followed by Bro. Rexroth’s soul-searching message and a fellowship dinner.

Faith Christian Fellowship is thankful to God for His presence during the services and the great work He continues to do with our congregation in Mason. The church just recently finished a wonderful study on the Gifts of the Spirit led by Bro. Dude Evans, Assistant Pastor, and is looking forward to working together with the gifts and talents God has given His people to glorify Him.

Thanking God for His many blessings,
Tish Newland

REVIVAL REPORT

Bro. Larry Dishman preached Revival Services at North Point Church of God, Dundalk, Maryland. We were privileged to hear him on one of the evenings. That evening, Bro. Dishman preached on “Letting God of Bitterness”. He skillfully admonished each one not to harbor resentment or unforgiveness in our hearts and shared how bitterness can start out as a small seed, eventually growing into a mighty tree if not dealt with. He shared that we can lose our joy if we reserve the right to hold anything in our hearts against others. When you think of the exchange – freedom and joy that God offers, why would anyone choose not to forgive? Several sought the Lord for help and we were all truly challenged to search our hearts and lay any bitterness at Jesus’ feet. Praise the Lord for men of God that will proclaim this truth. I personally plan to go forth with a renewed determination to “let go of all bitterness.. Whereof many be defiled”. By Willa Marquiss
