Eccl 9:9 “Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.”

Our congregation had our second retreat for married couples last year with Bro. & Sis. Wood and it was so good. There is such a great need in our culture to strengthen our marriages and this is one way help. Let me encourage you to register and spend this time with us this coming January. See the calendar page for details. Editor

NIGERIA

November 16, 2000

Dear Brethren,

Greetings in Jesus Christ most Holy name. We thank God that Bro. Stanley J. Rexroth, Bro. & Sis. Cash visited us and went back safely. Glory be to God in Jesus name. Thank you all for the bus and the Land Rover. Thank you all also for supporting us monthly. We are grateful for you all.

Bro. John held four days of Revival at 279 Obohia Rd. The good news is that many people attended. Two ladies surrendered their lives to Jesus. One lady who was stopped attending fellowship, God touched the husband who now allowed the wire to attend. The topic of that Revival was Divine Establishment. The date of the meeting was November 1 to 4.

The same meeting was held at 48 Watchtower Rd., Aba North LGA. Guest speaker was Bro. John. There was four days of film shows. Many children attended women, men, boys and girls. Many people came to the altar. One outstanding miracle is that a young man who runs a ministry came into the Church with his entire group. Praise God! Phoebe came home and sang on Sunday morning with other members of victory anointed choir; it was wonderful. It started on the 5th and ended on the 12th of November 2000.

Our major problem was light. Our petrol generating plants are all old and unserviceable. We have spent much money on them. They disappointed us on the 10 and we felt bad.

This week, as from the 15th till the 19th there will be four days of fire from heaven falling at Amafor Isingwu with the Evangelical team led by Bro. John Agharanya. He is tireless for the Lord.

22-26 will be at Umuoko with films; 29 – Dec 3 will be at Akpah with films; Dec 2-3, Bro John will be at Calabar to worship with the brethren. He will speak at their harvest festival. Women will have a one-day meeting on the 21st. There will be a meeting of the pastors and Deacons on the 25th, to deliberate on this year’s camp meeting. Dec 6 – 10 there will be crusade at Umuogele Ntigha; 13 – 21 there will be preparation for our national camp meeting.

National camp meeting starts Dec 22 and ends on the 27th morning. Many people will come from Cross River State, Akwa Ibom, River State, Imo State, and Enugu State. Hopefully it will be carried out to another location due to accommodation. It will cost us money to host it.

The wife of Bro. John Agharanya was admitted to the hospital on Nov 15, They need your help now.

I am writing on behalf of Bible Truth Church of God. Thank God that I am near Bro. John everyday to witness with my eyes whatsoever that he daily does, it is amazing. He may not please everybody and may not meet all requirements as a human being but in all I am being encouraged by his vision, courage, open mind, soft and tender approach to issues, absorbing whatsoever comes on this way only looking unto Jesus Christ.

Thanks,
Bro. Moses Okonkwo,
Deacon/Trustee/ Pastor in Training

PHILIPPINES

November 6, 2000

Dear Bro. Rexroth & Saints,

Wondrous love and greetings from the Philippine mission to all our loving supporters’ abroad in Jesus precious name. Trust this November report finds in good health and all well in the service of the King.

Time is so fast to pass by that we’ve again ended our first semester in the school in Luzon and in our Pastors Training School here in Mindanao.

Thank God for the return of peace and order here in Mindanao for the government was able to capture the two big established camps of the MILF and Abusay of who are doing terrorist acts and kidnappings wealthy business men and foreigners. Many rebels died and many surrendered when our president visited Mindanao last month.

While in Luzon District they were much affected by the two successive typhoons. The building for the youth camps in Antipolo Church of God was blown down. Many people lost their lives, farm crops and houses were destroyed. Aside to these bad calamities rallies lead by Cardinal Sin of the Catholic Church together with the two past presidents Aquino and Ramos asking the president to resign because of accepting Jueting Payola from the governor Chavit Sengson for the Province of Ilocos Sur.

Saints of God how we need your prevailing prayers that God may still give us privilege to preach the true gospel to the lost and dying world. We request also your prayers for our upcoming two district youth conventions, first here in Mindanao District to be held in Maa Davao City Church of God Dec. 22 – 25; The second in Arawan Antipolo Church of God Dec 27 – 30.

Really these youth camps are very important to us in the Philippine mission because it is the time to challenge and encourage young people to give their lives and come to the Pastor’s training School to be trained as gospel workers to advance His Kingdom.

Thank you so much saints for the building fund fifteen hundred for projects from the WMF. We receive last August that we gave to the priority projects in our record. May God richly bless each donors is our prayers. Before close saints we are humbly appealing to our loving supporters about our present priority projects that need your extended love and support. First priority project is the third story building in Santolan Church of God, Pasig City where we could lodge campers during conventions and camp meetings. Second is the continuation of the started church building in Amaronan Church of God. Third is Cadiz Church of God continuation. Fourth is the transferring of the old church building to the proper lot in San Francisco Agusan Sur.

In closing we trust and pray to our Father above to continue blessing every heart for this need for the prosperity of His Kingdom in the Philippine Mission.

Yours in God’s Labor,
Bro. D. B. Luzan Sr.

REVIVAL REPORT

The Church of God of Cumberland Valley, Shippensburg, PA enjoyed a refreshing time in revival with Brother Dude (Mark) Evans as our Evangelist from November 5 through 8. Brother Dude brought timely sermons on such subjects as “How Are We Doing on Persuading Souls, David & Goliath, America’s Largest Debt, The Alpha & Omega, Our Inheritance, Make Full Proof of Your Ministry, Love One Another, Let Brotherly Love Continue and Martha – Martha”

The services were anointed; God’s presence was so real. The Holy Sprit touched souls in a special way.

Brother Chuck Beesler accompanied Brother Dude (his son-in-law) and blessed us with songs every night. The first Sunday night Brother Chuck gave his testimony and sang several songs. It was good to sit together in heavenly places.

Thank God for His goodness to us. Editor
