NIGERIA

REPORTS FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

Ehere, Aba, Pastor James Igbokwe: Brethren, we thank the Lord for your help and support to us as a church. May God reward you in Jesus Name – Amen. We are having evangelistic movement or street work every evening as the Lord leads. We are doing these things in good hope.

Abam/Abala, Pastor Christian Ogbuka: The month of November was peaceful and nice. My evangelical activities was progressive. Though on the last Sunday one of our sisters faced a very big persecution from the husband with some brutal wounds inflicted on her by the wicked husband who departed from the faith a long while ago. But in all, God gave our sister and the children victory. The husband even extended his wicked act on me, but was rebuked by the spirit of God. Therefore, he settled down quarrelling within himself. Conditions have since returned to normal. Our effort here in soul winning is in progress. Our place of worship still urges for help. Thanks be to God on behalf of WMF USA for their generosity and for extending right hand of fellowship to us. Three days fasting and prayer 23rd – 26th; Women’s special services 29th; two souls saved.

Eket Urban, Pastor E. David: Attendance was 10-15; one-day intensive prayers and fasting. There are certain things that motivate people to attend revivals, but those things we are lacking. Thank God, our brethren are coming in January so we can air our opinions.

Umuahia, Pastor Cyriacus Nwachukwu: Attendance was from 62-81; All our activities were carried according to our normal works. Umuahia is still preparing for the coming of the missionaries. On 29th Nov – 1st Dec Pastors Ogbuka and Johnnie were engaged in a Revival service with us at Umuahia. The revival was a huge success the Holy Spirit moved.

Calabar, Pastor Bassey Ekpe: Attendance was 25-62, 13 souls were saved; there was 3 days revival and evangelism with a combined service with our brothers from Akwa Ibom State during which we had our-door preaching and house-to-house witnessing and souls that were saved turned up in the church for Sunday worship which ended on the 17th which featured Pastor Ronald as the guest speaker.

Akpa-Mba-ato, Pastor Ronald Iheanacho: The work of evangelism is in the progress in the area which has been located, the grace of God there must be improvement. Please this is an appeal; I have a focus and a vision of work on the area of evangelism, please evangelical equipment is so necessary for the Church of God in Nigeria to enable us to launch into the deep. We are still praying for you all.

Uyo, Pastor Johnnie Austin: Evangelical activities from 18th-23rd to encourage prospective members to keep their faith intact for Christ. Assuring them that one day, the Lord shall give an open door to start worshipping Him in the city. Like the Biblical Servant who received five talents from the Lord and traded and gained five more talents, I have used my little WMF monthly stipend to raise 5 new congregations. It is a pity that out of sympathy N30, 000.00 has been located to me from our community fund (which of course there is money). And this cannot do for rent and furniture. I am therefore, soliciting for the cooperation of all spirited and loving brethren of the WMF for financial assistance to enable us start full worship in Uyo, for the sake of the won souls. Hence, they may scatter after about 6 months of their waiting in vain since June 2002. I have promised to put in my best to the services of our Lord.

Ikot Edibon, Pastor Okon Jim Ibok: Attendance was 6-13; we had two days fasting and prayers on 8&9.

Ikot Inyang Eti, Pastor Udobong Okon Essien: Attendance was 50-51; 8 souls were saved; 4 days revival from 28th – Dec 1st.

To Honorable Father & Mother J. B. G. Wood,

The blessed Christmas and Prosperous New Year Greetings in the name of Jesus who was kept in the manger for us to make us healthy and wealthy.

Our most dear father and mother we thanked the almighty Jesus for the blessed comp meetings in a remote village, Eduru, held in December first week. Gifted Lord’s ministers proclaimed the Gospel of salvation and revival messages. The big choir and different musical instruments awakened the villagers and filled the many hearts with melodious spiritual songs with special sound effects.

From far away villages’ people came to the meeting place. For their transportation we arranged tractors and some other vehicles.

For these meetings a special speaker came from a long distance, Gunture. Once upon a time he was a very dangerous deceit; to catch him the Gov’t also announced the prize reward. After saved he became a good pastor, all the people who gathered for the camp meetings gave the ear to this witness and wonderful messages.

And Brother Israel also used in the meetings there was great reformation in many hearts. It is a very remote area so we suffered a little to make all facilities what ever it may be the Lord blessed all our efforts. After the last meetings a brother and sister saved and baptized and few of the young people gave their hearts to the savior; they also preparing for water baptism.

We thank our valued father and mother and all the saints for your united support and cooperation. I am sending our hearty thanks for your beautiful Christmas card with love offering. Ranjith Jennings sending his loving kisses to you for your blessings with birthday gift.

My father, John and mother keeping well and soon I will be sending you the pictures of K M Nagar Church and under construction church buildings.

With lots of love,
Your Servant,
Bobby
