Nehemiah 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
When we have a mind to work together, we can get something done. Please consider helping us gather up offerings to buy a land for Umuahia in Nigeria. We have over $3000.00 so far for the project and need $7,000.00 more. With your help the team can take the money with them when they go to Nigeria in January.
Bro. Gayheart, Bro. Marquiss and Bro. Cash are making preparations to go. They plan to visit Liberia for one week and then Nigeria for two weeks. Pray for them! Editor

REPORTS FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER:
Abam/Abala, Pastor Christian Ogbuka: More grease to the elbow of WMFCOG USA for their support both in prayers and financial capability. Their generosity is like an evening sacrifice, which has ascended on high. The presence of Stanley Rexroth, Rube Gayheart & Henry Marquiss has created new Gospel zeal to the WMFCOG in Nigeria. This is coupled with the presence of Stanley, Wiley & Cynthia Cash in August 2000 which remains most memorable.
On the evangelical work – this is my busiest ever period that I have come in contact with and I thank God for that. 18th-22nd is characterized by children evangelism week and was crowned with success on Sunday 22nd with children’s special hour service wherein the children took a lion share in the service. A family of nine was added to the congregation, Praise God! Other children from different families of belief took delight in the Church of God and were won to the Lord their parent have no say. So throughout the period a total of 50 children were in attendance.
Sunday attendance ranged from 58 to 78.
Eket Urban, Pastor E. David: Attendance was from 10-22. Two souls were saved. Children service was held the 22nd. Many children turned up and 2 were saved. It was a very happy day for the children.
Umuahia, Pastor Cyriacus Nwachukwu: Attendance was from 65 to 108. One soul won. We continue to increase in number and are in dire need of land.
Calabar, Pastor Bassey Ekpe/Johnnie Austin: Attendance was 19 to 28. Four souls were saved, Praise God. Three days revival from 2nd to 4th with fasting & prayer. One-day seminar people responded. Many received blessing of healing and deliverance.
Need: Land purchase, we believe that after Umuahia we shall be considered for same project.
Akpaa Mbato, Pastor Ronald Iheanacho: Thank God for WMF whom God is using for work of God in Nigeria. WMF should bear with me as I am a student pastor and as such it has not been easy for me to be steady and settled. For that I am helping with Pastor Ogbuka at Abam/Abala and he often send me to Ehere to help Pastor James. Not only that, a new location is being sought for me.
Uyo, Pastor Johnnie Austin: Four days evangelism, 13th – 16th.
Ikot Edibon, Pastor Okon Jim Ibok: Attendance was 10-14. One soul saved. House to house evangelism on the 11th, revival 13th to 14th and fasting on the 25th. Need benches, doors & windows, 4 bundles of zinc and mats local roofing.
Ikot Inyang Eti, Pastor Udobong Okon Essien: Attendance 45 – 50. Five souls saved this month. We had one-week revival from 16th to 22nd. In the week many souls turned up, the Holy Spirit moved and it ended up with children’s special service on the 22nd. The Lord added to His church. The children presented recitations and scriptural drama. Praise God for His wonderful work!

Thank you so much Brother and to all the members of WMF of their continues love and concern for the missionary work here in the Far East specially for the ministry though there’s no additional offering for the new workers station and for building funds to continue the unfinished building project, But we’re very thankful that we’re still receiving the same amount for the encouragement of the ministry who are laboring in the field of labor.

JENNINGS RIVER MINISTRY:
Dear Father & Mother Wood,
We are very happy to write these lines about the River ministry. In the beginning of this ministry you named as River ministry, but we would like to change it as JENNINGS RIVER MINISTRY. Please accept our prayer to change like so. It helps to our saints to remember your name in their prayers for ever and ever.
Our Gospel crusade started from T P Gudur on 7th and 8th October for Jennings River Ministry. There were about 12 members including men and women went on. We traveled by bus and reached Kakupally center. From there we traveled another bus, which goes to port, there we hired a ferry (engine boat) to reach other shore. At 6 PM we reached a village of fisherman named Gummalla Dibba.
There we arranged a public meeting, many people gathered to hear the Word. Before we started meeting there was raining. Just we prayed to God and commenced. After prayer we had pleasant weather. We closed the night meeting at 9 PM and pack up everything to reach another village where the saints are living by walk. We reached at 10 PM to the village of Thammina Pattanam, there we sheltered under the covered colonnades, my wife, Jonse, distributed the meal. Then we rested the night.
In the midnight heavy rained so we suffered for cold. Next day early in the morning we woke up and worshipped the Lord in the same place and went away for street preaching, like that we visited many villages. Again we reached the village Gummalla Dibba; there we arranged Gospel meeting. Many non-Christians gave ear to hear the Word of God. After completed this open-air meeting we reached the bank of the river to catch the boat. At 2 PM we reached home.
We praise and thank God who made our camp successful. After the successful Gospel cruised we could see your amazing love gift. Really God blessed us with your tenderness.
This is the report of the JENNINGS RIVER MINISTRY. Thank you please; we are longing to see you and praying for your arrival that God make it easy and soon.
Your Servant,
K. B. Emmanuel
YOUTH CORNER
Hello again from youth corner! It seems as though time is flying, most of you have been in school for over 2 months already. I know that it has been an exciting and stressful time for all of you. October is a busy month for us. You know there is homecoming, football games, sports practices and tryouts for spring sports. There is another thing that this month is known for, and that is . . .. Halloween. This season gets me to think about a word that is pretty popular this time of year, and that is, fear. You know many of your peers and some of you are gripped by fear and anxiety. I remember when I was younger and I would go into a darkened room, and in the shadows I would see a big scary monster. I would be shaking in my Scooby Doo pajamas. Then my mom or dad would come and turn the light on. It would turn out that the old monster I was so scared of was just my very own non- – threatening chair with my harmless clothes on it.
I would then laugh at how silly it was to be scared of that. You know that is just what we do in life though. A thing look scary until God’s light is on it. Always remember that God has not given us the spirit of fear, so when you are scared that is not of God. Just cast all your cares on God and let His light of love shine on all your fears and then you too can laugh at how silly those little things are in the light of God’s greatness.
POWER VERSE: 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
See you at the Pole Update

We started out with 5 of us and at the very end there were more then 50 students out there!!! I was so touched I started crying! I can’t believe how amazing our God is! I will never forget that day. We wish to have prayer around the flagpole every Wed. so please pray for us! It is so awesome that our school is allowing us to do it! On the 11th it rained all the way to school but stopped when we got there. And started pouring as soon as we went in. I thought it was so cool that it stopped raining like that!” -Maria Jordan

FELLOWSHIP MEETING REPORT
The annual Fellowship meeting at the Chapel of Hope Church of God at Lenoir, North Carolina, Brother Mike Spicer, pastor, was held from September 20 through 22, 2002.
Many Christians from a number of states were present to take part in an old fashioned fellowship time that re-cemented friendships from the past and meet and make new friends from near and far. The congregation provided meals on the grounds under the picnic shelter for protection from the numerous rain showers. The visiting continued on long after the meals were finished. Many discussions of Biblical and doctrinal issues were noted and studied.
Everyone asked agreed that the fellowship meeting was a resounding success and planned to return next year. The central theme of the messages this year seemed to be on individual and Church spiritual health establishment, rather than growth in numbers alone.
Bro. Mitch Brittain of Altapass delivered the message Friday evening on God’s teaching on personal evangelism based on 2 Samuel 24:10-17. Bro. Ron Leasure of Granite Falls brought the Saturday morning message on True Fellowship, True Leadership & True Worship based on 1 Corinthians 12:27, Colossians 2:19, Ephesians 4:16, Acts 6:1, John 17:1 & 1 Cor. 14:4.
Brother Carl Frye of Carrolton, Ohio brought the Saturday afternoon message on “Whom do you say that I am” from Mathew 16:13. Only those with a true experience of Salvation can truly identify Jesus Christ as their Savior. Bro. Robert Rice of West Bend, KY brought the Saturday evening message on the deceitfulness of sin and the hardening of the heart. Easy religion and easy believism result in lack of Godly Spirit.
Bro James DeLuca of Warsaw brought the Sunday morning message speaking on being bold in Jesus through preaching and living in the Spirit of God. We must be motivated by the Spirit to properly worship Him and to show the Spirit of God through our lives.
We also wish to acknowledge the special songs and musical selections that were offered for our edification and exhortation and a special thanks to Bro. Robert Rice for his leadership in the congregational singing. The singing group, The McKinney’s of Kentucky was on hand Saturday night and Sunday morning bringing us many of their fine Gospel songs and inspirational numbers.
Reported by Bro. Raymond Paul, Whiteville, NC.
FELLOWSHIP DAY REPORT
The annual fellowship day was held at The Church of God of Cumberland Valley, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania on September 28, 2002. A good time of fellowship and worship was enjoyed by all from near and far.
Bro. Rube Gayheart brought the morning message on “How Near is The Iniquity of America to Being Full” from Genesis 15:12-16, 6:5 & 13. He said, God judges’ nations in the past and in our time when their wickedness becomes great God sends destruction. Some of the sins that brought God’s judgment were child sacrifice, evil imaginations, filled with violence, homosexuality & rebellion. Today, our nation kills the unborn by the millions. Our land is filled with violence, evil thoughts & actions, all kinds of sexual perversion and all kinds of rebellion against the commandments of God. How full is our cup of iniquity? There is hope for the faithful. As God provided an Ark for Noah, so He provides hope for us today.
Bro. Joe Luzier brought the afternoon message on “The Courage to Believe” from Isaiah 41:1-3 & Exodus 15:2. He told us God needs pillars in the Church today. Believe the Word of God and it will transform you. God wants to speak to you and He wants you to listen to him. Seek God with all your heart. Renew your strength. You need the power of God in your life to live right and to find peace and joy in this life. Exalt God, put Him first in your life, it will give you the courage to believe.
