Abam/Abala, Pastor Christian Ogbuka: Attendance 60 – 78, Apart from other evangelist programmes for the month we had a commemoration which marked one year since we started the church under WMFCOGN one-year anniversary wherein we invited other people to rejoice with us. This occasion brought a lot of our invitees to the mission compound and they came and saw what the Lord is doing through the support we get from WMF USA. They urged us to keep the good work and not to betray our trust from our foreign mission brethren. We anticipate that souls will flood into the Church as soon as the church building is properly put in place.

Dear Brethren of WMF USA,

The pastor, elders and entire church wish to use this time to express our gratitude to all WMF contributors and donors to the support of our work here in Nigeria. The support, which you people are rendering to us is really good news from a far country. And really it is an answer to our “Macedonian Call”. You are doing this because you first loved God, then we the brethren of the Lord.

Your supports to us have been miraculously tremendous and we have vowed to judiciously put every dollar into reasonable use. The parsonage we have completed the roofing. It remains 3 rooms to be floored and plastered including the doors and windows to be put in place. At least these 3 rooms will help accommodate a few of the brethren during the camp meeting.

We are witnesses to your support. Our prayer is the God will reward you people righteously. Heb. 6:9-10. Photos show the progress.

LETTER OF  APPEAL

Greetings to you in the name of the Lord, Amen we are writing this letter to intimate you of the latest development in our congregation and for your urgent intervention by liaising with our brethren  of the WMF USA.

This is to inform you that our Lord has given us until the ending of August to quit our present place of worship to pave way for renovation in which materials has been put in place.

We went to the only Primary School in the village owned and controlled by the Salvation Army Church but they refused to accommodate us.

We sought for land and God was on our side and we found one but the problem is where to have the money to pay for the land. The land cost N350,000.00 (Three hundred and fifty thousand Naira only) ($3,500) and the price may increase as we are within the urban area and people come in daily to buy land for developmental purposes as the only road linking the area with other parts of the state will soon be constructed.

We are hereby appealing to you to please come to our aid by presenting our problem to our brethren in U.S.A, so that they can send money for the said land before the dead line, for we are ready to set up a temporary structure to accommodate members immediately the land is bought.

Please help us to serve the Lord by responding urgently and in brotherly manner.

May God Almighty bless you as you help us from our affliction in Jesus Name Amen.

Dear Info+ Editor & Readers,

Warm greetings. With the Lord’s mercy, we’re through with our activities this summer – District camp meetings, seminar (Mindanao) and visitation of Luzon churches. In addition to these events the local folds conducted vacation Bible school to children. Enclosed are few representing pictures of the seminar and visits.

We’re thanking the Lord that He helped my father physically along the hectic schedules we have gone through since the camp meetings began April to the recent May tour. The late sleeping and long travels often rugged along remote areas made him really feel weak, tired and ill but praise God ably endured!

Based on attendees reports the seminar workshop and lectures gave them much help, so expected to have gained greater confidence, understanding and skills in facing their ministry roles.

About the visitation, though tiring it’s complementing because of the mostly good standing of the churches visited with their welcome spirits in fellowshipping with us, providing nice lodgings, ideal provisions and especially of being responsive to the preaching of God’s Words, leading to the crowning of the altar with souls at every end of the message. My father did most of the preaching and the rest by my brothers, Wesley & Samuel. Mother & I just acted support in music, dealings and others. In the visits we’re able to actually evaluate the conditions of the work, see the churches needs, counsel and comfort them to continue serving the Lord in His fold. To God be the glory and thanks for your prayers and support in the accomplishments.

They give lecture and special songs while I did most the preaching. Praise the Lord.

Brother, during this visitation we received a bundle of prayer request from the needy congregations specially those brethren who newly come out from the man made religion and join with us in the divine church. Hope Noemi has reported to you about this long trip and visitation for I told her to inform you before we leave Manila. Thank God for the privilege to visit all the congregations in Luzon district and meet all the brethren personally. Also happy to meet those pastors and congregation who desires to affiliate with us in the divine church. They were formerly Bible Methodist church, Nazarene and Missionary Baptist. Help us pray for them that their desires will be spiritually materialize.

In the other hand I want inform you that our May offering is still hanging we don’t know why. But we’re praying much that God will continue to bless the WMF members that they will be able to stand for the need of the Ministry. Also we’re praying much that God will bless His people that the newly came out pastor and congregation will be help in their building for them to worship the Lord.

In the next place we’ve already plan to transfer the Pastors Training School in Inarawan, Antipolo Rizal. Bro. & Sis. Fajardo are already there and Sis. Noemi Esteban, and others will help in the teaching. So my brother Please help us to build a bigger chapel and a dormitory in the mountain. We agreed that the beginning of the classes in Antipolo will be on August due to the preparations.

Thank you also for your information about Noemi’s email. We are praying that she could come with Diowesley. How we appreciate you my brother if you can help them next year 2004 by sending a letter of support and invitation and their fare like what you have done before that we owe and refund.

Before close we’re glad to inform that a new church building in Mangilala South Cotabato was finished. Also a parsonage in Ma-a, Davao City plus the fencing in front of the church building and parsonage.

We’re praying that our God in Heaven will bless His dear people in U. S. to contribute more church building for new congregation that come out and join us because of truth.

To The most honorable father and mother J. B. & Gail Wood,

We praise God for His wonderful blessings towards the poor Christians of Thotapally village at the same time it is my pleasure to give our hearty thanks for your sacred love and kindness which enable us to built the beautiful church building.

My heart is over whelming by the dedication of new church on May 22. Before the dawn all the saints awakened to praise and pray to God for the dedication program, at 10 AM we have gathered under the pendal before the church, as all the saints kneeled down we have dedicated with the precious prayer of Father & Mother Wood which we received by email, when the prayer was ended all the congregation said Amen, at that moment the people were touched by the powerful prayer which came from the depths of the loving hearts.

Then father John Subhushran rao cut the ribbon. With joyful songs all the saints along with the God’s servants entered into the holy house of the Lord, we could see the God’s presence in the new building; this was possible by only the grace of God and your matchless help and love.

The Lord’s servant pastor Premnath preached about the God’s house contains God’s presence, power, provision and peace (Hag 2:1-9) and pastor Martine preached about the holy temple from Eph 2:21. Sis. And Jonse and other saints cooked the special dishes for the congregation. After this program we continued the other program of “A Day In Thy Courts” up to May 23 at 12 AM. Especially we are much thankful to you father & mother for your email prayer though you are in troubles and sorrows. We honored and blessed the Lord in all things. His name was glorified among us.

Closing with hearty prayers and thanks,

Your Son
Bobby Wood

To The most honorable Father Mother J. B. & G. Wood,

Precious greetings in the gracious name of Jesus. I am extremely sorry for the delayed reply to all your kind letters, please excuse me, the reason is after the church dedication immediately myself with pastor Premnath went to Govindha pally, which is very near to Kokkupalem. Kokkupalem is the village, which you are already visited in your India missionary camp. There we preached the Word of God for three days camp meetings. The Lord anointed with His word so the people enjoyed and convinced. Really the Lord blessed these meetings. After the meetings were over all other co-pastors named Prabhaker and some others requested us to help them in preaching the Word of God and for the ministerial needs.

Dear father & mother now I would like to give M. V. Palem’s church history and estimation of the churches construction.

Tribal is community, which called poorest among everybody who lives in India. There are so many kinds in tribal community out of them namely Yanadhi, Erukla and Lambadi, others. The tribe of Erukula’s occupation is to make baskets with bamboo sticks. The tribe of Yanadhi (girijana) catching fishes in rivers, ponds and cannels. They also catch crabs and snails to feed their hungry stomachs. Totally they are illiterate and uncivilized why because they are away from village and town. Mostly they like to live at the banks of the rivers and interior places they made small huts with thatched with some sticks. They are very skilled in catching the poisonous snakes. They used some kinds of traps to catch the birds and they sell them to get some food. Some people are very skilled to play leather instruments in the occasions of festivals, passions, procession, but they always suffering for sufficient food and shelter.

Mainly the tribal people are very innocent in worshipping witchcrafts and with its help they predicate future. Some people from this tribe are addicted to drugs. That prepared with some kinds of leaves. Many Christian missions do not like to work among this tribes. That’s why many are not able to know Jesus as the God and Savior.

Among these people we are regularly visiting and preach the living word to convince them to see the love and holiness of Jesus. With this risky ministry now by the grace of God accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. And throw out their demon material, which they were worshipping earlier. As we are conducting weekly meetings watch night services they encouraged very much meanwhile some of the witch crafters attacked and objected us to preach the Gospel, even they tried to disturb with their evil charms, but with the power of prayer and the Word of God we strengthened our new saints who were worried of their evil charms. We strengthen them from Ephesians 6:12. We also explained the power of Cross. We felt happy to start worship. Six years before we made a thatched house for worship services. But it was collapsed by the cyclone, now the saints gathering under the tree. Praise the Lord and we need your prayers. Thank you Father & Mother.

The estimation of the church construction: For one church building (504 sq ft) Bricks, 25,000, one brick cost is 1.50Rs. Including transportation and labor, cost 37,500Rs (one dollar cost is 48Rs). It means $781.25. Cement bags 60 with transportation Rs 8700. Sand from the river for mixing in cement cost 2,500 Rs. Granite chips Iron for concrete belt and sunshades 4,000 Rs. Wood material six Windows one door costs 3,000 Rs. Cement sheets for roof 7,000 Rs. Mess ion labor 6,000 Rs. Electrification 2,000 Rs. White wash 500 Rs. Wall paints 2,000 Rs. Total amount is 73,200 Rs.

Dear father we need to construct the church buildings in M. V. Palem, Edure, T. P. Gudur-2 Chemudugunta. And need to repair D. V. Palem church building. Thotapally church is about 36Kms from my house. As the Lord’s ministry is extended in to new areas and also we need to look after Kokkupalem, Govindha pally and some other villages in that areas we need a 4 wheeler gospel van it will help us in outreach for open meetings and visiting the churches.

We are earnestly praying for you for all our missions and burdens and for your good health. Always we are thankful to you for your benefits and love towards us for the Lord’s ministry. Thanking you dear father & mother Wood.

Your Servant,
Bobby Wood

FELLOWSHIP DAY REPORT

We were privileged to attend the Fellowship day at Ebenezer Road Church of God, Orrstown, Pennsylvania on June 7, 2003. Bro. Tim Bash brought the morning message on “How Many Dialogs Are Started With A Question” from 1 John 3:20. God asks a lot of questions. He arrests our attention. Adam, where are you? God frequently questions in relation to our salvation. “God knows your heart.” How long before you humble yourself before God?

The afternoon was a time of song, testimony and fellowship.
