Psalm 41:1 “Blessed is he that considereth the poor; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.”

In 1989 a group of Church of God Ministers met in Arcadia, Ohio with the purpose of forming an organization that would structure our mission endeavors in a manner that would be more effective, more efficient and accountable.  From that beginning emerged (WMF) World Missionary Fellowship, USA.

WMF continues to grow and at present consists of 41 delegates representing eighteen congregations or organizations. Annual membership dues of $20.00 per delegate go for general expenses and subscription to the Info+.  No one person or congregation controls WMF.  The delegates make all the decisions according to the established by-laws.

To those of you that are not members of WMF, let me encourage you to become members.  If you would like a copy of the by-laws, please contact me.

We have no paid staff; all of our work is done on a volunteer basis.  All money sent to WMF goes to the missions.  The accounts are audited on an annual basis and are available for inspection by contacting the treasurer.

Let us work together for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Editor

PHILIPPINES

April 28, 2003

Dear Bro. Rexroth & Info Saints,

Warm greetings to you all in God’s precious Name. This day we’re able to finish our 2 district camp meetings in the Philippines with victorious results. Thanks for your intercessory prayers & unending support. Because it’s summer vacation, many made it to attend the gatherings. Aside from the churches of God delegations, there were man-made religion pastors who also attended & because blest, expressed their great desire to affiliate if we will accept.

In the two camp meetings God really worked. Often the altar was crowned with many touched souls voicing one’s needs & finding help from the Lord. As fruit there was a total of 58 new converts who underwent water baptism & thus completely added to God’s church. Enclosed are pictures taken during the camp meetings simply to show you saints your investment for the mission fields is not in vain.

This Wednesday (30th) the one week Pastors’ Seminar in Bannawag will also culminate. It was joined by 10 workers in-charged by 2 trainers, Bro. Jess Fajardo & Bro. John Nisperos.

Presently we’re staying with our daughter, Noemi and son-in-law in Manila parsonage waiting for our 2 Pastors (sons), Wesley & Samuel to bring the Extreme Isuzu we’ll use for our next schedule – Luzon district visitations & conduct of one-day meeting in each church who requested. By God’s go signal; we’ll pursue the plan starting last week of May. To accompany us in this travel & evangelization are our children who will drive & same time support me in some preaching’s, lectures,, etc. Please insert this schedule & that God give me the health to ably cope with the hectic activity. God willing, we will send you the pictures again related to the seminar and our district wide visits. Also we’ll send soon the church journal on the camp meetings as soon as it is finished. God bless.

Lord willing we will transfer the Pastor’s Training School from Bannawag to Manila. Please help us pray for this plan.

Your Servant in Philippine Labor,
Bro. D. B. Luzan Jr.

May 19, 2003

Dear precious saints,

Greetings in the gracious name of Jesus, king of kings.

In the time of rejoicing of Thotapally Church dedication, I praise God for I am privileged to say few words about the church; this is one of our ten churches.

Few years’ back we all went to a place named Thotapally, a rural village to preach the gospel. It has been envisioned that there was a dire need to reach the doorsteps of the multitude of the people, who have not been fed properly by the word of God and especially in the rural areas where the people living in huts, with their poverty and illiteracy have been ignorant of the need of salvation. When we made a missionary journey through this village, my soul was moved on seeing the condition of the people having no knowledge of the great salvation.

Through this missionary trip an old woman was saved who was first believer of this church, was regularly attending by walk about three kilometers for Sunday service. She opened her house for the cottage meeting that’s where we started this ministry. As we conducted the meeting every Tuesday one more family accepted Jesus and added to this fellowship.

Year by year the Lord blessed the ministry as we conducted street preaching, cottage meetings and open gospel meetings. After three years, 16 families were saved and baptized. As the congregation increased along with the Sunday school children, became difficult to walk long distance for Sunday service. So we started Sunday services in the same village in a small hut. After few years the hut was fully damaged by the cyclone one night. So for temporarily we conducted in a small shelter. After few month passed the owner of the shed requested us to vacate. In this desperate time we prayed to God, He answered our prayers through His dedicated missionaries father and mother Jennings Byron and Gail Wood. Surprisingly one day we received a very good email from them about the church project. With their loving kindness and tender mercies, the loving father & mother Wood entered in to this project and gave the largest offering that ever received for the church mission. We are thankful to God to enable us to build a new and beautiful church building by their help.

Now nearly 40 to 45 saints gathering for Sunday service, many others also willing to gather in the new church, so the saint’s number will be increased. By the by we are also thankful to father & mother Wood for the new church building in K. M. Nagar which was already dedicated.

Thankful hearts: Our most honorable father & mother Wood in this time of rejoicing of the church dedication we praise God and humbly we submit our hearty thanks on you generous gesture towards the noble task of the church project. Truly we are grateful and thankful. Your supporting help enabled us to so great things for the greatest task. We also thankful to Bro. Rexroth and all elders of WMF. Especially we are thankful to the Community Church of God, Pastor Edward N. Beck, Bro. Joel D. Noble and all the saints.

Our vision: To provide 7 church buildings for poor Christians in different rural villages where people living in huts with their poverty and illiteracy. To help some more pastors, 25 widow women and 20 old people. We need to start an orphanage to lead the children into the way of Jesus.

Finally, it is my prayer to God almighty that the father & mother Wood and WMF and Community church of God will continue to be a source of blessings to many Christians and a beacon of hope and light to those that are perishing without the glorious gospel of Lord Jesus Christ.

With prayers,
K. B. Emmanuel

LIBERIA

May 27, 2003 Request for Prayer

Dear Chairman Stanley,

Prayerful Greetings to you and all of the Executive members of the World Missionary Fellowship in the USA. Thank you very much for the WMF Info+ that continues to come in to us. Please continue your prayers for the Church of God in Liberia.

We are going through a civil war, which is very, very terrible for us in Liberia. The fighting forces have covered nearly the whole country. Many of our pastors, wives, children and some of the saints are here with us at the Church of God compound in Monrovia. Oh, how terrible it is to see hundreds of thousand in displacement. No food, shoes, clothes and water and so do many of our pastors and wives.

The needs for relief are great and unbearable down here.

Pastor Tony, Bro. Gayheart and the trustee’s board of the Church of God of Licking County were able to send us special love offerings for food. Again, please pray with us, we and all the churches stand in need of prayers.

We are glad to be a part of the Church of God, WMF and that please remember us during this time of our civil crises.

God Bless,
Dr. Josiah K. Pah, Sr.
General Overseer

YOUTH CORNER

It is that time again to see what is happening on the corner.  You know I can hardly believe that it is May already.  Many of you ready to graduate, waiting for summer and for school to be out.  You know this time of year there are a lot of changes taking place.  A lot of moving from one place in life to another.   Most of us are ready and gladly take that step, even though at times it is a little scary.

I mean just think of how silly it would be for a senior who is sitting in the graduation ceremony and when his name is called he says –“no thanks I’ll stay in high school.”  That seems silly but you know that is what we do to God sometimes.  God is calling us to grow  and change and He wants us to graduate to the next level of spirituality and we say no thanks.

Let’s think about that as we get ready to experience some great things this summer with youth camps and retreats and such, when God is calling you to step up what will your answer be?

ATTENTION LADIES

There has been some interest expressed in having a women’s retreat at the Altapass campground. This retreat would include two worship services each day with guest speakers. The afternoons would be open for recreation of various types.

The middle of September has been suggested as a good time for the retreat. It is estimated a fee of $50.00 each should cover three meals a day as well as other expenses.

If you or a friend would be interested in attending such a retreat, please indicate so with a letter or phone call. Also give the best date for you to attend (a Wednesday through Saturday morning). This is only in the planning stages, so we must know by the first of July if there is any interest. You may contact: Sis. Violet Yaw, 63095 CR 13, Goshen, IN 46526; Phone: 574-875-6408
