Philippians 4:15-19 15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

May God richly bless you as you continue to respond to the various needs of the Kingdom of God. Editor

The Lord has continued to bless our work until the news of the death of our Pastor’s father came to us on the 13th of August. This in fact caused a little breach in our activities because the Pastor was put into running about trying to organize for the funeral. Thank God for elder’s Kingsley Ogbonna Adiele, Friday Ekeke, Stephen Nna, Onyedikachi Patrick including Sisters Rachael Amajo, Happiness Ajuzie and Mary Amaechi; these continued to see that ministration goes on.

On the 27th the brethren hired a bus and attended the burial ceremony at the pastor’s hometown. Thank God for the success of the funeral service on the 28th.

From the Elders of Abam/Abala Nkamiri Special Urgent Building Appeal

We the elders of Abam/Abala make this special appeal to help us buy some rod to support our church building because the palm tree beam which we used to hang that structure has decayed inside and termites has eaten up the whole thing. Also the camp meeting is fast approaching.

We hope our appeal will be considered.

We are: Bro. Kings Ogbonna Adiele, Friday Ekeke & Stephen Nna

Umuahia, Pastor Cyriacus Nwachukwu: Attendance = 71–105; 1 soul saved; our normal activities continues, i. e. weekly activities, House caring, Bible studies, Evangelical outreach, mid-week prayers, plus our strong Hosanna nights every Friday night, the time for deliverance, visitation is not left behind. Visited the congregation in Owerri capital of Imo State with Pastor Albert Eme, where we ministered the undiluted word of God. We also thank WMF for completion of money for Umuahia land project. Bravo! To WMF.

8th September, 2003

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your letter you sent to Ikot Inyang through Pastor Ogbuka on the issue of land acquisition and building .

The landlord has again given us a reminder notice on 2nd day of September 2003 to quit the premises for renovation after the expiration date of 31st August, 2003.

Please we are now appealing to you to assist us financially to enable us purchase land and start building, so that we should not miss souls as a result of no place of worship.

We believed that God shall hear our prayers and through you we shall have a place of worship.

May God bless.  Yours in Christ,
Pastor Udobong Okon Essien
Evang. Jeremiah J. Nkanga
Elder Akpan Robert Okpob.

Ehere, Aba, Pastor James Igbokwe: Attendance =  25–27; We are happy, God is progressing us by adding souls which are to be saved. We are only working and praying for a permanent site so that we can go out from market. Even the pastor is living in a store in the market. Activities: Three times evangelistic work every week, Tuesday: Women’s Fellowship Meetings, Wednesday: Bible Study, Friday: All nights of Prayers.

Calabar, Pastor Bassey Ekpe/Johnnie Austin: Attendance = 43–68; 3 souls saved; Our monthly fasting & prayer was conducted for 3 days. This was when a man and 3 children gave their lives to Jesus. We also have our normal special night on Friday the 29th. Because of the daily downpours, we could not go out on evangelism by the grace of God, the hope of collecting the keys to the place we paid for some months ago. As soon as this is done, we shall inform the brethren.

Eket Urban, Pastor E. David: Attendance = 21–30; Evangelical Activities: Street and house-to-house preaching. A 7-day revival was held with a theme tagged “Come out of Darkness”.

Comments: I have made several appeals through this media for help due to our inability to provide ourselves with enough seats as we are beginning to grow by special grace of God trough our daily evangelism, but we are yet to have some response. More so, the hall cannot contain us conveniently anymore, and we continued to appeal for aid to enable us meet our needs. May God give our American brethren the enablement to meet our needs.

Report From WMF Bible College, Lagos, Nigeria

September 15, 2003

Dear Rexroth,

Calvary Greetings,

This is to inform you about the college inaugurated in January this year by the WMF USA in Lagos, Nigeria.

The students have increased from 16 to 50 now. A member donated a plot of land to us in my hometown. Another person donated the sum of Forty Thousand Naira to incorporate the college. We still need more than One Hundred Thousand Naira to complete the registration/survey exercise. Presently the lawyer is working on the constitution.  The first set of students will be convocated during 2005 Lagos conference Lord willing.

Our Request: We need about One Hundred Thousand Naira for incorporation and N30,000 for surveying of the land and another N30,000 for certificate of occupancy.  The total of N160,000 less N40,000 which was already paid the balance is N120,000 which is equivalent to $950 US dollars.  In addition we need to encourage teachers of the college and pastors in three congregations in Lagos, (seven of them) in number by giving stipend to help them.  Lagos is a very expensive place.

We really appreciate the effort of the WMF USA for their contributions to African missions. Your labour shall not be in vain.

We shall account for every kobo (Nigerian word for cent) given to us.

Thank you, A O Edet.

NB: Please I am sorry for the mixed up in the last letter, the mistakes are from the typist.

Editor’s note: $200.00 has been donated toward this need.

Dear Bro. Rexroth & Saints,

Greetings to you with sister Rexroth, including all our loving supporters in God’s wonderful name. It’s again our joy to receive our paper the Info+ with the enclosed note of the editor. In your note we’re very glad to know our regular supporters from the WMF, in addition to our direct supporters and congregations. It is our earnest prayer that God may richly bless you all, so you can continue supporting us standing at our back or being our partner in the mission work.

Trust you’ve read in our camp meeting journal we’ve sent you previously about the present condition of the work that by His grace we are prospering. Praise His Name.

Brother in your note, you have mention that very few dollars for our building fund, we are earnestly praying that it will be added soon, because that is the only way to materialize our plan to built a pastor training school in Antipolo and at the same time camp meeting and convention center for Luzon district. So by this time the balance or excess of our pastor’s support will be sent to Antipolo for them to start our project, the building for the pastoral training school. We also inform all the workers to just wait our information that the training school is already ready. So please saints help us pray for this move.

Closing now with much love and regards to all our dear and loving supporters. May the good Lord bless you all for His cause.

Meeting Report

September 06, 2003

The honourable Father and Mother Jennings Byron and Gail Wood,

Precious greetings and hearty thanks to you and all the saints.

Hope you receive this letter with warmth and pink of your health "where unto I am appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher of the gentiles for the which cause I also suffer these things nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him that day". II Timothy 1:11-12.

Precious father and mother Wood, at the Throne of grace we broke our hearts and praying with tears for His abundant grace concerning your good health.

All the Church of God saints celebrated thanks giving meeting on 4th sep 2003 to praise the Lord for all his wonderful blessings and great help all through the meetings held on 17th-20th July 2003.

Each and every one witnessed what the Lord done things in their personal and family life.  A sister Vijayamma said as the Word of God was reached me from the PA system immediately there was a great change in my heart.  All the days of the camp meetings we enjoyed very much, at the end of the meetings we both Baptized and eldest son also saved

Jayamma a sister witnessed, totally my family was down cast.  My husband became a slave to all evil habits, without God's fear he was committed sin and got AIDS, by this he was committed suicide.  At this desperate time no one compassed me, and all the village include my relatives ejected my family and excommunicated from the society, so I myself with children prepared to committed suicide. In this hopeless situation pastor K.B.EMMANUEL with family sister Jonse, Jennings and Keerthana Overbay and some saints visited me, though some were criticized he never cared. He lead us to the meetings, the Word of GOD preserved from the pit of suicide.  Glory to God.  Now my relation are coming to my house.  I am proud to be a member of Church of God.

We are an old couples I am Priskilla my husband name is Akhula.  Our souls were weary with many sorrows.  My husband was full drunkard, wasted money, our two sons also followed his way.  My son-in-law who is a slave to bad habits killed my daughter for more dowry.  While I was crying to remember all these things.  Many nights we were without food.  Like this our lives cast down, pastor K.B.EMMANUEL visited us, he said JESUS is the right answer to all your problems believe Him.  Just I believed JESUS.  So many times my husband mocked at me was your Jesus answered you, where is your Jesus?  As we were suffering our two sons drove out us from the house they said that they were unable to feed us.  As we are became very old we could not do any work.  I was a fruit seller.  I am unable to go out on my business.  We came out and settled in a hut.  We suffered like any thing for food.  At this hopeless condition, pastor K.B.EMMANUEL again visited us and strengthened us with the word of God.  He helped us to start fruit business.  He said for this help we should praise God and thankful to FATHER AND MOTHER WOOD AND PASTOR EDWARD.N.BECK community Church of God saints.  Now our husband also understood that JESUS is THE ANSWER.

DEAR father and mother Wood, still many witness to be write, after this the Lords ministers preached the word of God.  At 11:20 pm we had Dinner.  The meeting closed in midnight.

I received the WMF Info, we are thankful to Pastor REXROTH to published the camp meetings articles.

Dear father I have no need to give reply to Rick Morries, just I brought this to your notice and I never correspond with him.

In the house Jonse and JENNINGS waiting for me to bring news from you, always they are waiting to hear from you, for this they are praying.  Thank you father for your kind letter concerning your good health.

Truly your servant, with humble heart,
Bobby Emmanuel

YOUTH CORNER

Hello everyone it’s time again to visit the corner again and see what God has for us.   It is hard to believe that September is gone and October is almost upon us.   My prayer is that while you have started school, you are serving the Lord with all you got!

The question has come up to me several times how do serve Him with all we’ve got?  Well think of it this way, many of you are driving now and/or you have friends who drive and you ride with them.  Have you ever been somewhere and ran out of gas?  The only thing that was going to get that car going again was some good old gasoline, some fuel right?

We need to let God fuel us.  Everything we do needs to be controlled and powered by God and His will for you. David was fueled by God’s love and a willingness to serve Him.  Just listen to what David says in  our POWER VERSE: Psalm 63:8  “My soul followeth hard after thee; thy right hand upholdeth me.

David had the pedal to the metal in living for God.  He followed hard after God.  He wasn’t chasing after other things.  He was fueled by following hard after him.  Everything he did he wanted God to be glorified.

What are you fueled by?    Are you fueled by God?  Can you say as the opening lines of the Spoken For by Mercy Me: “ Take this world from me . . . .my heart is spoken for.”

SYATP

On Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, many young people participated in the annual See You At The Pole.  This event, is a student sponsored event where the student body gathers at 7:00 a.m. around the flag pole to pray for the school year, the students and teachers.   I was encouraged by a young man’s story that participated in this event.  His family was going through some difficulties and he was very discouraged but he knew there was power in prayer.   He loved the Lord and he was excited to participate in See You At The Pole this year.   He had a SYATP bracelet and was ready for the big day.  He had arranged for some other Christian peers to join him in prayer.  He was disappointed to find out that none of them showed up.   He wanted to give up but he stood firm, and prayed at that pole by himself.   As he prayed, he faced ridicule from his peers and even snickers from some teachers, BUT THROUGH IT ALL HE STAYED.

I was encouraged by this young man, even when I want to give up I think of the young man who in kneeling in prayer took a stand.

Did your youth group participate or did you specifically, I would love to hear about it.   Please send your stories and pictures to:

PERSONAL INVITATION

September 9, 2003

Greetings to The Saints:

I want to give a personal invitation to our Annual Thanksgiving Youth and Fellowship Meeting to be held beginning Thursday night, Nov. 27th through Saturday Nov. 29th.

We have been hearing some wonderful preaching in the different meetings we have attended this summer and expect more of the same here. I have been impressed with a greater earnestness in the messages. I trust that every Christian has an awareness of the great responsibility we have to work and pray for the salvation of the lost. We should be aware of the fact that Satan will do anything to break the spirit of unity in Christ that has brought the power of God into our midst to heal, save and sanctify those who have been in need. God has given special promises to those who keep Christ as the focal point of our lives. He must be “All and in all”. Nothing has been more destructive to the cause of Christ than a divisive spirit.

As some of you already know we like to keep as many of the young people on the grounds as possible, so we have provided dorm facilities for both the boys and girls 13 and up. We will make exceptions for some slightly younger in some cases. You will have to provide your own sheets, pillows, and blankets, as our supply is quite limited. Most of those who have come in the past have chosen to stay at the Ramada Inn or Days Inn. Be sure and ask for Church Rates.

Meals will be provided beginning Thursday night through Saturday noon. We try to feed you well in addition to good spiritual food. All expenses are paid by free will offerings.

We have electrical hookups for three trailers. There is also a RV Park about a mile away that has reasonable rates.

We are looking forward to seeing you and trust that you will be praying for the success of the meeting in seeing souls saved. Come praying and expecting and God will not disappoint you.

If you have questions, or need information concerning the meeting, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
Charles E. Powell, Pastor
