Philippians 4:14-17 14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. 15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

I received the following email Sep 15: Greetings to you in the name of Jesus our Lord, This note is sent to you requesting any assistance for the saints in the Cayman Islands. Many of them have lost their homes and property and some have lost everything they owned. We have spoken with Bro. Tommy Bodden of the George Town congregation asking how we could help. It was stated that any help would be greatly appreciated and needed. If you would like to assist in this relief, we are starting up a fund to send to them through Bro. Tommy. He will be the coordinator of the relief effort on the island.  Pastor Clarence Campbell, Vichy Campground Church of God, 17411 Maries Road 440, Vichy, MO 65580; Ph: 573-299-4601; Email: mbe@fidnet.com You may wish to join with us in sending relief to these saints, victims of Hurricane Ivan. NIGERIA

REPORTS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST:

Abam/Abala, Pastor Cyriacus Nwachukwu: Attendance = 37 to 39, 1 soul won. Evangelical Activities: Our weekly activities were conducted accordingly though rain disturbs us so much, which hampered our open-air preaching. We held our annual praying and fasting for 7 days, which involved both children and every other adult in the church.

Umuahia, Pastor Christian Ogbuka: Attendance = 52 to 66. The engagement for this month was tremendous chief among the whole engagement was the youth revival service which commenced fully from 27th – 29th. The youth performed creditably well with evangelistic outreach. Both the youth in Iva-Valley and them in Amafor main joined hands to make the revival week a success. God was with them. combined service with Iva-Valley and all invitees for the youth revival service. This program was conducted outside for the small apartment wherein we worship could not accommodate all. We had a large turn out. Alter calls were conducted. Details coming up on the youth corner to be written by the youths.

Calabar 1, Pastor Johnnie Austin: Attendance = 51 to 69; 1 soul saved.  Evangelical Activities: Due to the 40 days fasting and prayers, which started Tuesday July 27th to 4th September 2004, we could not go out on evangelism or other outside activities because the exercise was an indoor one. Soon, the result will be glorious and tremendous. Again, the attendance has drastically dropped due to a heavy daily down pour throughout the month of August. However, we are still appealing for evangelical equipments/public address systems to enhance of our productivities.

Calabar 2, Pastor Bassey Ekpe: Attendance = 20 to 45. 1 soul won. Evangelical Activities: Evangelism could not be very effective because of heavy rainfall and due to combined church prayer and fasting, which ended on the 4th of September, (40 days) prayer and fasting. There was a tremendous turn out of people during the month tarry night of 3rd September; a lot of people were delivered of various sicknesses. And were also set free from their captives, curses and covenant were broken, due to Nigerian traditional background in our families. Please remember to send money for hiring of table and chairs, which have already been spent.

Omoba Isiala Ngwa, Pastor Ronald Iheanacho: Attendance = 16 to 21. Evangelical Activities: On the 15th, we conducted house-to-house visitations. We also conducted revival prayers on every Friday of the month and bible studies every Monday. I engaged myself in house-to-house evangelism.

NB:  Omoba branch needs a land desperately for the place we are staying is too strait. The land over there is not costly please help.

Ikot Edibon, Pastor Okon Jim Ibok: Attendance = 15 to 24; Evangelical Activities: We conducted a 3-day revival on the 26th-28th. Fasting and prayers were conducted on the 27th. House-to-house evangelism was also conducted.

Ikot Inyang Eti, Pastor Udobong Okon Essien: Attendance = 75 to 77; 10 souls saved. Evangelical Activities: Activities this month includes fasting and prayers, bible classes, children service, 3 day Revival from 13th to 15th and tarry night, which was on the 27th. Weekly evangelism is effective. Pray for us.

Ehere, Aba, Pastor James Igbokwe: NO REPORT

Eket Urban, Pastor E. David: Attendance = 10 to 21; Evangelical Activities: our evangelist who allowed Satan to use him to commit adultery right inside the church causes the falling standard of members. This devilish act made some of the members to withdraw from the church. After several warnings against immoral act, he refused to take heed and the church council decided to excommunicate him. We are praying God to show us favor so as to awaken the church again. We are beginning to see the mighty hand of God’s grace upon the church. To God be the glory.

Obinze Owerri, Imo State, Pastor Albert Emeh: Attendance = 7-8; Evangelical Report: Greetings from this church. God helped me meet the traveling expenses this month. This a new church in a new place, people is watching at us to see what we are up to. This place is a promising place for the gospel. We kept witnessing and hoping for crusade when money will be available. I use this opportunity to thank WMF USA for including my name on Nigeria Stipend Roll. I am very grateful and pray God to bless the work of WMF worldwide. Thanks a lot.

Evavalley Amafor Isingwu Umuahia, Pastor Comfort (wife of Albert) Emeh: Attendance = 26 to 27.

Evangelical Activities: The youths of this church are really burning for the Lord. They had a weeklong revival program.  The 3 boys who were undergoing series of teaching on baptism were baptized on the 22nd. This day as the church and many people gathered at the River Shore, I, pastor Albert, preached from Romans. urging the people around to give their lives to Christ now they are living. Life given to Christ counts. People met on the seashore came out for prayers while church members used the occasion to rededicate their lives to Christ. The 3 youths received their 1st Holy Communion in life with other church members on the 29th. It was a wonderful and fantastic occasion. My wife and I carried out this baptism.

Let us pray for God’s intervention in our pastoral training school that will be able to continue because of the great needs in the Mission.

At present you know saints some pastors decided to go abroad because of the hardship of life. Their offering from U. S. and the offering from the Philippine treasury is not enough specially those who have children going to college. Nevertheless there are still faithful in their calling and willing to sacrifice in the Lord service.

In the next place this week Bro. Diowesley and our mission carpenter and Mason went to Senator Aquino municipality to finish the new church building. We will be sending the picture next mail.

Lastly but not least we want to appeal to all our brothers & sisters abroad who are more privilege to please continue your support and if possible you can increase that needed for the Philippine Mission.

Dear Pastor Rexroth & Saints,

Glad to return to Manila safe after finishing my more than a month stay with the Seminary and Preschool in Davao City. They were also left all well by God’s mercy.

In my stay there, aside from our In-campus schooling and trainings, we have also made five enjoying visits of congregations in our outreach program. The people’s reception of us was also good. They let us bring home sacks or rice, vegetables, fruits and cash as support to the seminary need.

Only last Sunday that I was able to go to my destined work in Nueva Ecija where many people suffered much, losing crops and properties in the latest deepest flood they have seen within thirty years. Praise God, the Saints there stood faithfully going to church despite of the calamity.

Enclosed are some taken pictures during our seminary outreach.

Regards to the family and our brothers and sisters,

                In God’s Philippine Labor,

                Sis. Noemi L. Esteban

INDIA

Father & Mother Wood,

I humbly submit the report of Fe Meeting held on 27 August. Fellowship of The Church of God rose with feet firmly on the ground through the loving missionaries. We have a clear realization that there is no substitute for Perseverance. All the Pastors expressed their profound desire to extension of the Kingdom of God through the Fe. They were overwhelmed with the assurance of loving support. They said the Lord wiped out their tears through the loving missionaries.

Their was raised a very interesting debates and discussions about the book, “Gift of Tongues and other Tongues”. A Pentecostal pastor was attended and participated in debate. He said that before he read the book he had a strong faith in Tongues, but now he is ashamed to revolted the message of Dr. Edward N Beck, preached in the pastor’s meeting on February, 2003. He said the interpreter made many mistakes to translate his message this was also a cause to misunderstood his message. Pastor Bobby strictly warned the pastors against of false tongues.

The Fe constructions coming to the end D. V. Palem, T. P. Gudur, K. Dibba; church buildings are constructed with the strong foundations.

The guest speaker, Maharshi babu preached about the call of Moses and Paul, Barnabas and John Mark. Pastor M. Premnath discussed about 1 Tim 4:1-7, 1 John 4:1 & 2, 2 Peter 2:1-3. Pastor Martin preached about the pastor’s responsibilities to feed the lambs.

Every month some more pastors are joined in Fe. As the Lord’s work is spreading through the Fellowship of the church of God. All the Fe pastors gave the ministry report. The Lord had done great things among the heathen for that we praised the Lord.

Pastor Martin requested to pray for the incompletion church building and asked to pay the land cost where the church is constructing. And, he asked to pray for the 2 wheelers in his work. Some more pastors requested to pray for 2 wheelers and expressed hearty thanks to their supporters.

All the pastors prayed for Bro. Levi Newton for presented nice church building to the saints in Edur. The pastor’s team supported pastor Bobby to spread the Church of God all over India.

Closed the meeting with Divine blessings.

                Your Servant,

                Bobby

Father & Mother Wood,

The Lord lead us into the shore line villages to preach the Gospel to Fishermen. We started this ministry on August 29. Every Sunday evening we should go to these villages to preach. Next Sunday we plan to visit Kodur seashore, a Pilgrim centre. Thousands of pilgrims will come to this place. We have burden to distribute Gospel literature and preach; it is not safety place to preach but at any cost we visit. I humbly request to you please pray for us to make successful this ministry.

From T. P. Gudur to Kodur we will go by tractor; 50 pastors, elders & sisters may participate in the ministry. The vehicle you presented to Fe will be useful in project works and Gospel mission. Please extend our hearty thanks to all our noble missionaries and saints. We are praying for you.

                Your Servant,

                Bobby

Father & Mother Wood,

Thank you so much for your loving and kind reply; it really encouraged me to go ahead in the ministry. Our hearts are overwhelmed of Mother Wood’s arrival to India.

Church construction became bit late due to the heat sore on my daughter, Roseline and she was on bed for a week. By God’s grace and your precious prayers she became OK. And then due to too much hot sun she started vomiting and unbearable stomach pain; another 4 days she could not eat and drink; it is again His grace and your prayers saved her.

And also I started one more worship center where I gave 7 baptisms at Nellore, including one Muslim girl. There we are gathering at eleven am in a poor widow’s hut. Please do remember us in your prayers.

Church work is on and soon we could see completed church building. Our church needs a sound system and a key board.

                Thanking you,

                Your Humble Servants,

                Premnath, Angel & Roseline

YOUTH CORNER

Season's changing, summer is over, and school has started. There is a lot of changing and new experiences around the corner. On youth corner there is a lot going on as well. Many youth groups are going through changes as a new school year begins and they lay out what they want to do for the new school year. Five words go through my mind through this time of change. They are found in Genesis Chapter 1:1 "In the beginning God created . . . ." We must remember that God created us, and He created us to have relationship with Him. So as school starts and we get a "new" start in school, let us remember what we are created for and keep our relationship with God first place in everything we do.

Power Verse : Colossians 3:23 "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men."

Falling into Jesus

This past Labor Day, 50 young people and adults gathered in Dunn Loring VA, for the Fall Spiritual Youth Advance. The evangelist for the weekend was Bro. Phil McKnight from Lancaster Ohio. The Lord truly blessed this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday the altars response was good and many young people recommitted their lives to the Lord, others accepted the Lord as their personal savior. We also had a good time of fellowship with food and activities, (I ate too many SMORES) We thank the Lord for what He did that weekend.
