I & family are squatting in a woman’s house with our belongings & that of the church.  It is really a pathetic condition. A friend has given me a place to rent. I started doing something there but could not continue because of lack of fund. I already put a request for $1,500.00; anything could be sent and the balance another time (Note: $700.00 has been sent toward this need).

It affected us & some members are not turning up. Where we relocated is not conducive. We may regain our stay when the man finishes his work. We owe rent arrears. INDIA

March 23, 2005

The Most honorable Missionaries and Noble pastors of WMF,
Our deepest thanks and gratitude are extended to all who are helping to poor widows and orphans. you are appreciated more than words can possibly express your help towards widows is adequate. Many broken hearts are sustained by your unchanging love and unfailing support.

We Fellowship of the church of God, India have been working in two main districts of Andhra Pradesh, India for 10 years we used to spend the amount that we received from the saints of W.M.F, to help the poor and the needy people in our targeted village. Though we started our social service to just help in the main part of Lord’s ministry, we wished to do something to change their lives for the better. We employed the poor and educated youth to work for the cause of the poor It helped us not only to provide them a means of earning but also a scope to serve the poorer sections.

Our activities include service to widows and orphans. As there would be no one to take care of them, we provide them monthly help for their basic needs. We are glad that few donors helped us enthusiastically with the funds and we dedicate ourselves in the social activities. The work here gained momentum. As the Lord’s work increased, we want to help some more widows and orphans.

We submit our sincerest greetings and hearty thanks for all your loving support towards widows and orphans. In all things the Lord Jesus Christ might have preeminence.

We are praying for you, may the Lord bless you abundantly.

            Your servant,

             Bobby.

March 26, 2005

Father & Mother Wood,

By the grace of God and all your prayers we are doing well; We have started Night Gospel meetings in every village. A few nights we spent whole nights in preaching the Gospel and in prayer.

            C. Dibba is a tribal village where the people are very innocent and uneducated. Most are very poor and depending on fishing for their daily bread. We take the word to them with bun & butter; several times we have distributed clothes & rice to them. By all means the savior & risen Christ is preached to the poor. The Lord possible us to guide three new souls in this village.

In village of Iskapalem where we had conducted open meeting the spirit of the Lord moved few people to attend the meeting. All our Fellowship of the Church of God Pastors participated in the meeting and shared the Word of God and their personal witness. Pastor Bobby preached the Word of God: “Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light”. The Lord anointed His servant. During altar call a bus conductor and others came forward for prayer.

The Lord is leading us in the path of Fruitfulness; it did not just happened by chance but lot of elements working together to produce fruitfulness. We owe a great debt of gratitude to the great many who have in various ways sought to encourage us in this labor of Love. We humbly requested please pray for our Night public meetings that the Lord give some more new souls. We are praying for the leaders of WMF and all the saints of Community church of God.

            Your Servant,

            Bobby

April 16, 2005

Father and Mother Wood,

Precious greetings and hearty thanks in the most holy and highly exalted name of Jesus the Lord and God.

I humbly submit the progress report with needs and opportunities of Fellowship of the church of God. India has the oldest civilization in the world. It is the second most populous country in the world after China. Our growth of population at the rate of 2 percent per annum. Forty five children take birth every minute in India we are having a population of about 1000 million already.

India is a country of villages. A large percent of her population lives in villages. India is undergoing revolutionary changes. Humanity is waking up. The bulk of the people still consider cast to be a good institution, especially the Hindus in rural areas. There is segmental division of society.

Christians are called minorities. India constitution guaranties. The India citizens full freedom in matters of religious faith. It also grants the citizens the fundamental right to freedom of propagation of religion it mean the “True way”. In spite of this, Christians population is very few and called MINORITIES.

The Lord still opened the doors of Gospel in India to serve the poor and preach the Gospel, we thank God about your very special Vision and burden for India to make many disciples to Jesus the greatest Master the most honorable of all. Your kind efforts and endowers brought many blessings of God and living Gospel of Jesus to our people.

There is no denying the fact that the people born in lower class families have least opportunities to know the Jesus and learn His preaching and perspective needed for salvation in life. The solution of this problem lies in providing them more help and knowledge of scriptures for the enlightened and encouraging by conducting gospel meetings, constructing of church buildings, helping the poor and orphans in slum areas.

The Lord is strengthened us through your prayers and loving kindness thus we are doing our level best to accomplished the vision. From April 2nd to 13th we could visited number of villages by preaching the Gospel in the premises of our church buildings. By this we encouraged our local pastors and saints in the Lord and we spread the Word to unsaved. We arranged evangelical meetings where there is no church established. In these villages the Word of God and its divine living power is introduced by the Holy Spirit.

On every Sunday evenings and other weekdays the mobile Gospel team went on to conduct evangelical meetings. Every pastor of Fellowship of the church of God and few sisters were participated in this meetings. The saints and servants of the Lord were enjoying the blessedness of Christ, following Christ looking to Him and to earthly circumstances.  In this warfare We are well encouraged by the prayers and consecration of  father and mother Wood and all the missionaries of W.M.F.

In the beginning of every gospel program started by the fellowship of church of God there was certainly a bottle neck but by the power of Holy spirit we could overcome evil obstructions and got victory By conducting street preaching we could met every person and hand over gospel literature. We distributed twenty Bibles to the saints in Levi Newton church presented by Bro. Levi Newton. we have some Bibles that we should distribute to poor Christians.

While we are in gospel programs we are hurt by sad news that a pastors family met an accident and severely injured. He is a young pastor doing the Lords ministry in the out skirts of Nellore now both are under medical supervision in super specialty hospital in Chennai. His father and mother are saved and baptized by father John. Please pray for this family. A sixteen years girl in Pinapuram recently saved and baptized was lost somewhere; our team is in searching of her. Pastor Allen Fletcher baptizes her. She is mentally disabled .The whole family of that girl was in deep grief. Please pray for this girl. Though We should go through thick and thin through out our long missionary journey we will fear no evil because the Lord will comforted us in all.

The summer is started here the hot Sun is shining in the sky. The Government declared the summer holidays for all the educational institutions. Holidays begin from April 15 and ends June 12.We have commenced special gospel programs long tour gospel programs.

Father and Mother Wood bless our pastors with Motorbikes, which will be presented to them in a thanks-giving ceremony. Our hearts are overwhelmed with joy about all the benefits towards our pastors. This is very great help for the service of the Lord. I will send a special report on the ceremony of presenting Motorbikes with pictures. we expressed our heart felt thanks for your loving kindness.

I pleased very much to bring your kind notice that all the construction works are in progress. We praise God for every thing according His plans. Once again I humbly bring to your kind notice about our future projects, which can help to extend and strengthen our services in villages.

Praying for all your Gospel Programs and camp meetings. Hearty Thanks,

            Your Bond Servant

            Bobby.

April 22,2005

Father & Mother Wood,

Greetings from Temple city Fe church of God saints, co-pastors & newborn souls. Thank you very much for all your love, affections, prayers, kind care & support to me & to the temple city ministry. I am very grateful to you & your people loving support & encouragement for the Lord’s ministry in India.

As I have already prayerfully planned with the co-operation & help of pastor K. Bobby & pastor Premnath, I am glorified the Lord’s ministry in three centres 100% success because of our Lord is so gracious to me to complete my goals in winning souls for the glory of the Lord by your special love. This is only beginning work in un-reached places.

The 1st meeting, Apr 14-15, was at T. M. Palli, which is 80 km from my place. We rented jeep to travel with our team. We divided into groups & visited more than ten surrounding villages to invite people to the gospel meetings. The people responded & some leaving their daily labor to attend. Many heard the gospel message for the first time in their life. Through this two days meetings more than 300 Hindus attended.

The 2nd meeting, Apr 16-17, was at Thummalagunta village, which is 10 km from my place. This is a tribal and low caste community living area. The meetings were filled with the power and good news & love of Christ. A lady suffering with xenophobia is being healed & relived the mental sickness & she is healthy & shared her testimony with joyful heart. Through this 2-day meeting more than 350 Hindus attended. The local pastor, Devanandam, arranged shelter & prepared food for saints, and is requesting for church building.

The 3rd meeting, Apr 18-19, was at Pakalavaripalli, which is 30 km from my place. It is great miracle & wonder in this country to happen in this type of incidents; the arranged place is very near to the Hindu temple (Rama); there was no dissatisfaction as that was day off Hindu festival of the birthday of Rama the Hindu’s deity. The whole night the Hindu devotees where enjoying with their drums & singing. Our meetings are prayerfully holier different in our motivation to be loved all the communities. Even all the Hindu orthodox people slowly started to attend to the living gospel meetings. More than 500 Hindus attended. Local pastor, Stephen, is requesting for church building. God has given 15 newborn souls for this church.

This Sunday we arranged baptism service for newborn souls. Please hold us up in your prayers.

            Your Servant in Lord,

            K. Martin & Linda

YOUTH CORNER

See Calendar for Upcoming Events

It is time once again to go down to the corner and see what is happening.  I can hardly believe it is April already. As I think of how things are moving along quickly, I am reminded of a story. There once was a young man who loved the Lord and served him with all he had.  He was very active in everything that he thought was involved in serving the Lord.   He was always busy, always working for the Lord.   One day, however he discovered that he was always working and never spending time with the one he was working for.   While all he was doing were good ideas, they were not always God’s ideas.   He learned that he had to always take time to be quiet and still and spend time with the Master.   Remember to always take time with God and rest in Him.

Power Verse:   Psalms 37:7  “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. ”

Well that is about it for this time.  Take care and remember to serve the Lord with all you got!           Bro. Brian Bridges

REVIVAL REPORT

Sis. Regina King was the evangelist for revival services at The Church of God of Cumberland Valley, Shippensburg, PA March 16-20. She started Wednesday evening by preaching on “A New Creature” from 2 Cor 5:17, Eze 38:26-28, Ro 6:4 & Eph 4:23-32. She told us that like a caterpillar is changed into a beautiful butterfly so Jesus changes ugly sinners into beautiful saints. You don’t have to remain an ugly person; God will give you a new heart & a new spirit. We are called to serve; to tell others.

Thursday’s message was “Loving Your Enemies” from Matt 5:43-48, Daniel 6, Luke 6, Rom 12 & 1 Thes 5:15. We were reminded that we have enemies just waiting for us to fall. We need to keep an excellent spirit within us, stay in the Word of God, be prayerful, do good to them & treat them kindly.

Friday’s message was “The Potter’s Work” from Jer 18, Is 64:8, Rom 9:21, 8:28, Zech 13:9 & 1 Pe 1:7. We were reminded that God takes us to mold us into something useful to Him. He shapes us into different vessels. We must go through the fire. Trials & tests are for a purpose.

Saturday’s message was “Stones for Your Sling For When You Meet Your Giants” from 1 Sam 17, 2 Sam 21:21, Num 13:33 & Ps 120. She told us that David did not face the giant alone. We need stones of faith, respect for authority, prayer & preparedness to defeat the giants we meet in life. Will you be prepared to defeat the giants?

Sun AM message was “A Special Gift” from Matt 13, 28:8 James 1:17, Is 53, 61:11, 33:17 & 1 John 4:9. People were looking for the Messiah until He came; then they were not happy because He did not suit them. Jesus is a wonderful gift and many are disappointed with the gift. What are you doing with the gift?

Sunday evening’s closing message was “What Kind of Christian Are You?” from Ex 14:13, 17:10-13, Heb 12:12, 10:23-25 2 Chr 15:7, 1 Thes 5:11 & Is 35:1-10. Sis. Regina asked: “Do you encourage or discourage?” As Aaron & Hur held the hands of Moses up, let us help others win the battles of life. We can only win souls by being an encourager.

CAMP MEETING REPORT

It was our privilege to attend the Rock Chapel Camp Meeting in Granite Falls, NC March 28-31. The meeting was well attended and the services were blessed by God’s presence. The evangelist was Bro. Garry Bates from Portage, PA.

Monday evening’s message was “Who Is On God’s Side?” from 1 Kings 18:17-24. Bro. Bates told us that we live in a lukewarm, complacent time. We have a multitude of people calling Jesus Lord but not doing what He says.  Many are not willing to commit to anything. Our gods today may not be wood or stone; they are more likely to be power, pleasure, making money, sports, politics or education. How hot are we for God in Devotions, marriages, the word, church attendance, tithes, missions, evangelism & holiness? We’re not hot – we’re not cold; where does that leave us? Lukewarm.

Bro. George Norton preached Tuesday morning on “The Holy Anointing Oil” from Ex 30:22-33, Eze 11:19-20 & 2 Cor 1:21-22. He told us that real life changing conviction only comes from the Holy Spirit. We have the machinery in the church that we need but most of what is being done in the church today is done in & by the flesh. What we need is the anointing oil of God to make anything work. The Holy Spirit is needed to arrest, convict & take the bitterness out of you. There is no substitute for the Holy Spirit.

Tuesday eve Bro. Bates preached on “Why Do We Need Revival?” from John 16:33 & 1 John 4:4, 5:4. He reminded us that our world needs God and we need to be witnesses. We need revival because of the aggressiveness of Satan. He is constantly roaming looking for the weak & sickly. He’s working hard in our country in false religion, cults, law & government. We need revival because of increased worldliness in the church, because of indifference in the church, because we need the power of the Holy Spirit, because of the presence of spiritual defeat and because God ordained it.

Bro. Dedrick Clark preached Wednesday morning on “The Clothing of The Saints” from Col 3, Eph 1, Rev 12:10 & 2 Peter 1:5, 3:9. He reminded us that as Christians we must put off anger, wrath, malice, filthy conversation and put on Mercy, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering, forbearance, forgiveness & love. We are the ones that need to have the garments on. “Do what God wants you to do and He will take care of all things”.

Wednesday evening Bro. Bates  preached on “How To Get Answers To Your Prayers” from Matt 21, Mark 10 & John 5. He told us: 1. Learn to pray specifically. Our prayers are often too general. 2. Learn to pray sincerely. Quit blaming your problems on everything else; there is a time in your life that you need to grow up. 3. Learn to pray steadfastly. We live in an instant world; we need to learn how to not give up.

Thursday morning Bro. Tony Bartlette preached on “I Have Overcome The World” from John 14:27-16:33. He told us what Jesus gives you the world can’t give. The message of love is unique; all things of earth will pass away but life from Jesus is eternal. Why Jesus came is still a mystery to most of the church and to the world. Holiness has been lost sight of. The world puts the emphasis on the physical body and the church has been sucked into the same thing.

Thursday evening Bro. Bates preached on “Church Growth” from Nehemiah 1-4, Acts 2-4 & 2 Kings 4:1-6. He gave us 3 fundamentals for church growth. 1. A church must be friendly. There is a tendency to be so involved in our own clicks that visitors are ignored. 2. Lively worship: Sing with the joy of the Lord. 3. Preach with power & authority. Timing, personality & style are important. There is  no program or model that will replace the word & the Holy Spirit. There must be a burden to grow. You’ve got to have a mind to work. Each one must do his own work. There is too much self-centeredness. The rubbish has to be cleaned out. Gossip, hatred, jealously, laziness, stubbornness & discord must go.
