NIGERIA

CRUSADE/SEMINAR REPORT:

Oct 12:

4:00 pm: Went to view the venues of the Conference & Crusade. Original venue of the Crusade was changed because the owner, a Muslim, and did not want his property used for a crusade for Christ.

7:00 pm: Returned to hotel for supper and coordination of activities.

Oct 13:

7:00 am: walked for 30 Minutes.

9:30 am: departed for the conference

10:20 am: the scheduled 10 am session began.

11:20 am: Bro. Marquiss preached “Foundations For Preaching” from Mark 16:15, 12, 28-31Romans 10:13-15 & a number of additional references. His points were: The first pillar is love. The 2nd pillar is The Fear of the Lord. The 3rd pillar is The Word of God. The 4th pillar is Faith. The 5th pillar is Hope. Four essential disciplines for the preacher are: 1. Prayer and fasting. 2. Bible study. 3. Fellowship and accountability. 4. Pour your life into others.

12:30 pm: Bro. Gayheart preached “The Stone That Become A Great Mountain” from Daniel 2:31-45. He explained the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar about the great image with a head of gold, breast of silver, thighs of brass, legs of iron with feet mixed with iron & clay. These four parts represent four world wide kingdoms; Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. During that period of history God set up The Kingdom of God. The stone is the Kingdom of God, which continues to expand and will continue to expand till Jesus returns. You can be part of this great kingdom.

5:00 pm: First night of the Crusade; Bro. Rexroth preached “Free” from John 8:28-47 & Romans 6:1-23, 8:1-16. Jesus said if you follow Him you will know the truth and it will make you free. Many want to be free to sin, to reject God with no consequence and to live for self. Jesus offers freedom from sin. He bought you to set you free by accepting Him as Lord of your life.

About 12 came forward for prayer at the close of the service.

8:30 pm: Returned to our quarters weary and ready to rest.

Nov 6:

8:00 am: Bro. Sunday took us to his house for a short visit before church started.

8:30 am:  Bro. Christian preached a Sunday School lesson on 1 Cor 15 “We Shall All Be Changed”.

10:00 am: Bro. Rexroth preached “Seek Ye First The Kingdom”, dedicated Bro. Sunday’s baby, Victoria, and commissioned the bore hole (well). Bro. Sunday plans to build a pure water system to sell pure water.

12:05 pm: We returned to the hotel to load our bags and proceed to the airport to catch our flight to Lagos. We arrived at the airport at 1:30 pm and our airline told us that they would not start checking in for our flight until 3 pm. There was no place to sit down so we asked and got permission to sit on a table that was not being used in a restricted area. There was one man, Mike, which initially resisted us sitting in his resting area but after we sat there a few minutes we started to talk to him about being a Christian. We found out that he and a couple of his friends had been soured on church because of people not living what they preach and they are worshiping in Mike’s home. We had a good long talk with him and Bro. Christian exchanged addresses with him and promised to visit him in the future.

3:00 pm: The airline said they would not start checking in until 3:30; the plane is to leave at 4:45 and it is about 1 hour flight to Lagos where we are to switch to our KLM airline for our flight to Amsterdam and on to Dulles.

3:30 pm: They told us there was a problem with the runway in Lagos and that they would call us when they were ready to check us in. We finally got checked in after 7 pm. By that time the airport was packed with people as a number of flights to Lagos were delayed. Our plane arrived at 7:30 and we departed for Lagos at 8:30. We arrived after 9:40 and our KLM flight was to depart at 10:40. We split up with Bro. Rube & Bro. Len getting our luggage and I went to find the KLM counter and see if we were too late to check in. It was after 10 when I got to the counter and the check in had closed. I went to see the manager of KLM and he said we would have to wait until tomorrow; I explained that we had been delayed at Port Harcourt, spending 7 hours there and that we were very tired (I was dripping wet with sweat). The manager checked on the computer, changed his mind and called the check in counter with instructions to check us in.  Bro. Rube & Bro. Len arrived at the counter with our luggage and we made it onto the plane shortly before 11 pm. The plane took off shortly thereafter for Amsterdam.

Nov 7:

5:10 am: (Holland & Nigeria time; 6 hours ahead of EST, which means it is 11:10 pm at home). I lay on the airport floor and took a short nap as I could not sleep any on the plane. Then I updated this report during our 5 plus hour wait for our connecting flight to Dulles, which is to start boarding at 10:05. It boarded after 10:30 am.

2:10 pm: Arrived at Dulles airport, met by Martha & Brian and made it home safe & sound and weary. Praise the Lord for a safe & fruitful journey.

Dear Bro. Rexroth & Saints,

Holy greetings in Jesus precious name. Trust this November report reaches you with Sis. Rexroth & all our loving supporters all well in the service of the King!

Since we arrived from the supporting churches abroad & our visit to our brethren in Stockton, California, our Natl. office is full of information from all our local churches entire the work noted in their Oct. reports.

It’s a joy to inform the saints that Wesley & I arrived home safe & sound with good health. Praise the Lord! After a few days of rest, the church prepared for our 50th Wedding Anniversary where in all our 6 children & grandchildren attended. We celebrated with a long table with different barangays (communities) in the basketball competition. It seems like a dream that our marriage vow was renewed by the officiating minister, our 2 sons, Wesley & Samuel Luzan, while Noemi, our daughter read the history & our eldest boy Rolando, gave the message.

Glad also to inform that we have renovated our old tabernacle here at Bannawag, our Mother Church. In front was 2 restrooms, 1 for men & 1 for women. At the back is a pool where we can baptize people to complete their salvation of those who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. In front of the pool is a choir stand. We also installed 4 units of aircon 2:5 horsepower each to refresh the worshippers during services. The fund came from WMF.

The renovation is still in need of fund because we still need to change the roofing. We are praying much that God will continue to supply the need for we reserved some of the money we received from the churches for the completion of the San Miguel chapel & for the new building in Pisaan, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Also our Pastoral Training School is now going on with 6 boys and 6 girls. But we are expecting yet some young people this week specially if the adoption will be materialized. We'll be sending the group picture in our next report.

So we are earnestly praying that the American Church of God abroad will adopt this precious young people who answered the call & dedicate their lives for His cause. At present our congregation at Bannawag are feeding them.

Lastly, we want also to inform you that we need your prayers please because revival is going on here at Kabacan churches. We've just close our revival here at Bannawag with a successful result. We give God all the praise & thanksgiving for all His blessings materially and spiritually as well.

In closing, thank you Saints for your continuous love & support to us in the Phil. Mission. It is always our prayer that God will richly bless you all today and all the days to come...

God Bless You All!!!

            Your Brother in God's Labor,

            Pastor D. B. Luzan Jr.

Dear precious saints W.M.F and COMMUNITY CHURCH OF GOD,

Precious greetings and hearty thanks in the gracious name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

The 20th pastors’ meeting was held on 30th Sep 2005 at Thotapalli Church. 30 pastors were attended .Pastor Jacob and saints gave us warm welcome to all. Month by month and every month like this 20 months meeting continuing victoriously and blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ. We humbly say this all done only by the Power of Holy Spirit and your prayers.

In the past time T. P. Gudur was not counted as a main center for the Christianity, but now from 20 months onwards it is developed in all aspects. The noble missionaries  launched Church and social projects in T. P. Gudur. By this the Lord enabled us help to the poor rural pastors by the by widows, orphans, old aged and handicapped. The missionary work is going under the Fellowship of the Church of God is “ this is the Lord’s doing ,and it is marvelous in our eyes”; Mathew 21:42.

Pastor Bobby and all Fe pastors discussed about the false reports made against of the ministry by unknown persons to the higher authorities. The committee should be aware of the false propaganda is doing against of the mission, but we praise God that the officials came and enquired keenly every thing and found nothing fault against of our humble services.

Some times the resurrection of others turns out to be “The Lord’s doing” After Joseph had been betrayed by his brothers and slandered by Potiphar’s wife he said, you meant evil against me but God meant it for good: when we see the hand of God in it that we began to understand that what the enemy meant for our destruction, God used for our development.

God is arranging our steps. The true continuous unity among pastors and saints faced strongly every frustrations. We praise god for the saints of COMMUNITY CHURCH OF GOD ANDW.M.F for praying, supporting and encouraging us by consecration care and concern.

All the pastors have great concern for new souls. The Lord blessed our “Every village for Christ” every Sunday Gospel” Good Morning Jesus, service starts 4.30am to 6am for every day. Every Friday pasting prayers services with new souls. The Fe committee and every Church committee prepared to meet noble missionaries from USA. We are counting days anxiously to say hearty welcome to our Missionaries. The Lord keep His Word and we lost ourselves in the ocean of joy. The Lord blessed the RIVER VILLAGE MINISTRY. Pastors regularly visiting these villages on Sundays and other week days. We are conducting several open and public meetings to focus the light of the Word over the people that who sat under the shadow of death. This helps us to win more souls for the Lord. Three or four years back it was very difficult to reached the unreached. There was no good transportation to reach their villages. To reach these villages we should traveled by water and road, but now the Lord provide good transport vehicles. Now we often can easily visiting River Villages. We have wonderful response from these people. Praise God, the  God is doing wonders among heathen. We pray and want our missionaries to see directly how the Lord blessed these villages.

All the pastors offered special prayers for all the saints of W.M.F and Community Church of God and especially for the Noble missionaries and journey.

Pastor Martin shared the report of Temple Ministry and the Word of God. Mother Lalithamma offered special prayers for the saints and church. We shared every love offering equally and utilized for the Lord’s Ministry.

ALL THE GLORY TO GOD. AMEN.

           YOUR SERVANT BOBBY,

FELLOWSHIP OF THE CHURCH OF GOD

Dear Father Wood and Mother Wood and all the Saints,

Precious greetings and Hearty thanks for your loving kindness and encouragements in the service of the Lord.

I would like to begin the 21st Pastors Meeting with unfavorable climatic condition but at the same time what the Lord had done towards us even in this condition. Praise the Lord His name is Wonderful.

Rain, heavy Rains with Thunder Bolts and with whirl Wind. There was a great loss of lives and property. We felt very sorry about these Natural Calamities but Prayed for the people that who lost their nears and dears.

The Rains are continue up to Today by this the ponds, tanks over flowed its banks. The big trees also pluck up by the roots and fall down on the roads so the roads also blocked. At some corners the Roads were breach. All the Paddy (RICE) crops were drowned in the Water. Still the dark clouds are spread into four corners so here the Night is fall at 3:00 PM onwards.

The scientist warned the people for forth coming Cyclones. What ever the climatic condition was disturbed human life but the Divine activities are continue without any disorder. For this we are praising God and expressed our hearty thanks to Father Wood and Mother Wood and all our Noble donors that who made it Possible. So in this unfavorable climate we could conducted several church meetings, Pastors Meeting and Sunday services with out fail, it is only possible by the Permanent church Buildings.

            Your humble servant Bobby,

FELLOWSHIP OF THE CHURCH OF GOD-INDIA.

November 13, 2005

YOUTH CORNER

It is that time again to find out what is happening in the youth corner. It is that time of year again, when our thoughts turn to being thankful. As we ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, some of us take time to count our blessings. This is a great thing to do, in fact in every Sunday School or Youth group you are probably going to be asked what you are thankful for. Many of you will say some of the same things that you say every year, family, friends, God etc. My challenge to you this year is to thank God for some of the things you have never thanked Him for. Maybe you can thank the Lord that you have to do the dishes every other Thursday. You may think this is crazy, but just be thankful that you have dishes to be dirty because some people do not own a dish or have food to put in a dish. Or how about being thankful that you have to clean your room. Just be thankful you have a room, and if it is your own, that you don’t have to share it with someone. Take time to think about some things that you have never thanked God for, in doing this you can develop an attitude of gratitude. An attitude of being thankful for everything and knowing that God is the giver of everything and the only one worthy to be praised.
Power Verse: Colossians 2:7 “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”
Well that is about it for this time. Take care and remember to serve the Lord with all you got!
