Three pastors presided- they are Bro Christian, Cyriacus and the host pastor Bro Ronald. Inclusive is one elder from Umuahia, Ebule and the entire members of Omoba congregation opening service was by Bro Christian
Text :Psalm 119:9-11.Eccl 12:1 etc. He maintained that for a youth to equip himself to fight against the odds of this evil generation such youth must arm himself strongly with the word of truth which cleanses him and makes his way prosperous and successful. The idea of youth in the world is not for God.
Bro Cyriacus preached in the morning of Saturday; Text psalm 119, proverb7, 1 Timothy 4:8-12. He warned them against mixing up with the world under the guise of saying I am a student or youth, that they should abstain from youthful lust; that the female ones should look to the bible for modest dress not immodest dresses that the devil is bringing out for women.
One of the youth preached on Saturday night. Text 1 Cor 13. He stressed that love is very important in the Christian faith. Also he cited john 14.
Sunday school on Sunday by Ronald
Topic:15:4-7 etc he maintained that there youth should abide in Christ by being obedient to the commandment of Jesus, their pastor, elders and parents, and that they should ensure that they have repented from their sins, that will enable them to be properly equipped.
The message on that Sunday was by Chiedozie Amaefula
Topic: Spiritual Redemption
Text : Gal 3:13, Ephl:5-14. He threw more weight on the issue that we must repent for Jesus through his death being a curse for us and purchased us with his own blood which no man can be able to do, which no parent can be able to give his only son for.

PHILIPPINES
December 9, 2005
Dear Bro. & Sis. Rexroth & Saints,
Christian greetings from the Philippines Mission in Jesus precious name. Trust this report finds you all standing for truth and always in the winning side.
By God's grace Sis. Luzan & I & the saints at Bannawag including the students in the Pastoral Training School are all well since we arrive till the present time.
Truly the month of November is a revival time in several churches at Mindanao & Luzan districts. Praise God for the success and those new souls that were added into God's fold and receive the ordinance of water baptism before the close of the revival.
Thank God also for the Renovation of our old Tabernacle in Bannawag, the Mother church in the Philippine Mission. It is now fully air conditioned adapted to American Missionaries. We are praying that you are able to come and attend our April Camp Meeting.
Glad to inform that our Pastoral Training School is already going on with 14 students, 8 boys & 6 girls. We are praying much that the American church of God can adopt them all so that they can finish their training. I believe they will be a great help in the prosperity of God's kingdom. Because of poverty their parent can't afford to pay their food. Presently the Bannawag congregation is feeding them. (Ed. Note: some are being sponsored by Americans with monthly support; I don't know how many). This young people are all church of God members in Mindanao district.
Saints, thank you once again for all your continuous support to us in the Philippine Mission. May our Father above who owns the cattle on a thousand hills rebound all your love and sacrifices.
Regards & Love to all our Supporters,
Bro. & Sis. D. B. Luzan Jr.
DISTRICT YOUTH CONVENTIONS 2005 REPORT
Dear Bro. Rexroth & Info Readers,
A blessed New Year in the Name of the Lord!
As prayerfully scheduled and graced by God, we had ended our church activities this 2005 with victorious District Youth Gatherings in Mindanao and in Luzon. Dated December 22-25, we had the conventions in Bannawag Church of God for Mindanao churches and in Cuyapo Church of God for Luzon congregations. Both gathered under the same theme, "Be Thou Faithful unto Death, and I will Give Thee a Crown of Life." The events were attended by 140 young people in Mindanao and 119 in Luzon. Besides their numbers, the other attenders were the workers who incharged leading the activities, the adults who did the food preparations and also joined the services when through with their job and the children who were mostly kids of the pastors and host members.
The churches represented in Mindanao were: Bannawag, Osias, Katidtuan, Paatan, Davao City, Cuambogan, San Francisco, Pasta, Tagapua, Marcelina, San Miguel, Tagbongabong, Romualdez, New Pangasinan, Laguilayan, Mangilala, Colaman, Langganasi, Keytodak, Puloy-puloy, Pasandalan, Guintales and TWOL. In Luzon, the churches represented were: Amaronan, Antipolo, Baguio, Bullongan, Cadiz, Ilagan, Naguilian, Pasig, Rizal and the Host Cuyapo.
For our activities to become varied and really meant to meet the spiritual, social and emotional needs of our delegates, we had: a) morning and evening services / worships, b) Bible Studies / Lectures, c) Business Meetings of Workers / Youth, d) Observance of Ordinances, e) Contests in Bible Games, Ball Games and Music, f) others like dedication of children and youth fellowshipping.
We give the glory to God for His glorious presence in the gatherings and for the good spirit He gave to the delegates. It made them energetic in giving testimonial songs, cooperative in joining all the activities and humble to kneel down at almost altar callings. As a result, there was a sum of forty (40) souls who were baptized on Sunday afternoon. Please, help us pray for these new youth converts they'll grow in serving the Lord and in His fold.
We thank God also for the fair weather and safe travel He gave us in going to the convention places and in returning home. Further, for providing the financial needs to all of us who abled to attend especially to the host.
In this letter, we take also the opportunity to say our deepest thanks to you saints for your unending prayers, love and financial support to the ministry of God in the Philippines. Our continuous prayer is for God to bring unto your families and congregations this year his overflowing blessings, joy and power.
Enclosed are few pictures taken during the conventions.
In God's Labor,

YOUTH CORNER
It's 2006 already, can you believe it? Many of us here on the corner are still trying to recover from Christmas vacation. In any case, it is a new year and a fresh start for all of us. Maybe you have made a resolution, or a vow to get better grades, exercise more, or even to get along better with your parents. As you turn the new page on this New Year, remember that you must seek God first. Whatever you have been through last year, God has something new and exciting for you during this year. No matter what you are going through God has something for everyday. So let's make a resolution this year to look for what God has for us each and every day.
Power Verse: Lamentations 3:22-23 "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
Country Roads take me home:
During the weekend of January 13-15 many young people traveled some country roads to West Virginia for the Grafton Road Church of God's winter retreat. There were about 40 youth and adults in attendance for a time of fellowship, fun, and most of all to draw closer to the Lord. The weekend was a great time and souls were saved. There was a great time of worship and praise, as well as a fun time as well. If you attended this retreat and have a special memory or something you would like to share or even pictures (yes even the crazy ones) please send them to me.
Well that's about it, for now, take care and remember to serve the Lord with all you got!
